iandvaypes
Hello. I want to add a button that functions as pressing the + and - at the same time. If I wire a button in parallel to both of the + and - post holes in the board, will it work or fry ish up?
vaporlips
Neat idea. I can's answer your question as to whether or not wiring both the up and down to one switch in parallel, and making it all become one circuit would work though. My thought is to make it more complex than probably needed. Have one button, so that when you press it is going to interact with the two other circuits that need to be closed for up and down to get the function, almost in a way, so that each up and down circuit stays separate, but it's still doing what you want. Yikes, I might need to get some sleep.
iandvaypes
I was thinking of placing diodes to keep the two circuits isolated but both activated with the button press. But, if it's not needed then i don't want to hassle with diodes.
John
Hey, that is a slick idea! Diodes or a double pole switch would be necessary.
