I plan on using remote switches for up/down and fire. Can the on-board buttons be removed as easily (without damaging the board) like the DNA40? I am trying to cut down on board width to create more space. Here are pics of a 40 with just the top section of the fire button removed to clarify what I'm intending to do.

Yes, you can pull the actuator cap off the buttons quite easily if you need to. The buttons are, however, much harder to de-solder than the DNA 40 fire button, due to construction differences.

Or put some needle nose pliyers on them and rock it back and forth, and yes the board does work
