Help a noob Charging n turning off

Just got my HC VT200. Does it/can you turn it off or is it always in idel. Also as far as charging can u just use a usb plug for my cell phone (it's just under 1A) wether I plug it in to that or my pc none of the charging info comes up that put in using escrib. This for the help

You can't turn it off, it just goes into sleep after about an hour but will only use 1% maximum of 2% when you wake up in the morning.. Any way of charging via usb is fine as the chip won't take more than 1amp from the power source anyway.. Change your charging brightness up to 50-60% and it will show on your mod when charging.
