Mod resistance on DIY build...

Hi all... I recently built a dna200 board into a CNC "G" box with a 1000mah battery and a varitube 510 connector.. In interest of making it as accurate as possible how do I go about figuring out the "mod resistance"? Is it just a matter of shorting the 510 with a screwdriver or something and checking the resistance in the analyzer on escribe? Thanks Scott
