Question: Having a few issues setting up a New DNA 200 Mod in TC on to different tanks noth NI coils can anyone help

Recommended Posts

I have an HCigar 133w and just bought the Boxer 133w. I own 8 different tanks and two of them are not working how they work on my other DNA 200 or any of my other higher end Mods. Both my Kanger & Artic horizontal always fire great around 320F-400F "depending on where the battery's are currently at" at 24w to 36w's using NI coils. I do not build my own coils and only buy the pre-made ones. For some odd reason i can not get the Artic to fire unless i raise the Temp to above 500F & the Kanger at 450F+. Also I had to move up the watts to 45 on the Kanger and 60Ws on the Artic. All my other tanks are firing great below 420F and as low as 325F bet 34 & 65w. Even my SMOK TFV4 is firing at 400F 60Ws like a Lamborghini being full throttle punched off the line.

I have moved the punch up to 11 and set I have been playing around with the pre heat limit between 7.5 & 2 to try and fix this. Both packs of coils were bought from highly reputable sites and I checked the authenticity code on the manufacturers site

Does anyone have any suggestions as I would like to get this corrected? The Boxer is brand new and only these two tanks which i like with certain juices will not work as they normally do. Thanks

hi dgnyc........ welcome. some prebuilt coils are manufactured differently from others. some require more or less power to achieve the same vape. some use thicker or thinner wire, some use a single or parallel coil build. why these two tanks work differently on your other dna 200 mods could be any number of reasons.  make sure on your boxer and vt133 the mod resistance is properly set, you have the correct coil material curve, also doesn't hurt to give these two tank's 510's a good cleaning. but if they vape fine at higher temps and watts on these two devices, that's not all bad.  hope this helps.

Thanks. I always clean my tanks. maybe Ill try a new package of coils. It just seems odd that on every Mod I have (over 10) including the other DNA 200 its just very consistent regarding watts and temps, depending on which tank and coil type I use.  I pretty much know where to initially have them set and usually its just minor tinkering of a few watts and 10-20 degrees F here and there.  I do appreciate your thoughts....DG
