It is a Windows system. Computer behaves normally when the USB cable is plugged in without the device connected. And yes, I have tried multiple USB cables.

So, I've been trying to connect my vape to my laptop to update settings in EScribe, but every time I plug it in, I immediately get the blue screen and my computer restarts. Anyone know how I can overcome this problem? It worked the first time, and now all of a sudden it's not.
