Downloaded ecsribe international for mac cause my dna 250 says check battery but it cant seem to detect my device? is dna 250 not compatible with mac escribe?

I was using this mod like a month ago. I then stopped using for 1 month and didnt touch it. Now when i try to use it it dosent on so i went to buy new batteries as i thought my old ones were faulty. But now when i hold the button it just says check battery and i am unable to do anything . Btw i am using a macbook . Thank you.
