  1. Ok, some update and a fix for someone maybe in the future suffering from the same problem. I got a replacement board from Evolv and also got an extra screen just in case. After soldering the new board and seeing that the screen kept freezing still I switched the screen and now it seems to be working as it should. So if someone is suffering from the screen freezing after powering the device the problem may be fixed with replacing the screen. Thanks for everyone who tried to help.
  2. Any chance you could explain how to do this step by step and how to find out firmware? I did upload a backup settings file to the mod but it still freezes. I can't find the update firmware on escribe, it's not under tools nor does it show when connecting mod.
  3. Here's the picture with the battery removed.
  4. Hi again. It was the battery that caused the problem. Got a new one (that was too thick, damn webshop) and all the cells now show correctly 3,8V. Anyone know what could be the problem when trying to fire the board flashes blue light and nothing happens? The mod doesn't even read the atomizer, I cant switch profiles, I can run through the main screen but only once then the mod kind of freezes...
  5. This was the first thing I did. But we'll see if it was the battery when the new battery arrives. Hopefully it was, if not I don't have any idea what could cause this. But then again I would have two batteries... I'll post an update when I get the battery.
  6. Thanks for the reply. Yep, the battery is new, problem is that I got it from Amazon from a third party seller and it is a discontinued model. Hopefully I will at least get my money back for it. Already ordered a new turnigy 2200. But you also think that the problem is with the battery and not with the mod? Still a bit bummed because the damaged battery was 2800mAh and I havent been able to find another with the same capacity that would fit the enclosure.
  7. Hi, just got my first mod built but when connecting the battery the mod says "Check battery". The battery life shows 4%. When connecting to escribe and going to device monitor the total voltage shows 12,7 V, cell 1-4 show 3,8V; 3,8V; 1,3V and 3,8V. So cell 3 seems to be the cause. The battery is brand new so I thought that maybe some of my connection is off, but after checking them I can't find any that would cause this. Also I don't have a separate lipo charger so I could charge the battery and the mod doesn't beging charging when I plug it to a USB-charger. Any ideas how to fix this?
