I just bought a pack of .5 pods today at my local vape store and it appears they have updated the air flow control with added knurling. I have yet to vape it because I won't receive my orion until Christmas so I'm not sure if any other changes have been made inside the pod itself. If anyone has tried these new pods out please let me know.

Can you shine a light behind the pod so we can see if they've changed the internal design of the airflow?

    1. It can be, however the DNA Go is not necessarily intended for use with replaceable batteries as there is no reverse polarity protection. Extra care must be taken if doing so.

    2. Yes, it is a wattage controlled board.

I'd love to see them in something like a Billet Box in a smaller version or even make a 3D printed one myself if they're going to be  sold to the public.

75C Replay is progressing. It is markedly more consistent than a week ago. We will get there :)

    It can't come soon enough!

Since the one of the reasoning behind developing Replay was consistent flavour, has Evolv considered investigating changes in Power delivery dependant on PG/VG ratio?  They have very different boiling points  and therefore the ratio has a direct effect in how the vaporised juice tastes. Obviously this is very more nuanced, needs a lot of testing in many respects and would probably be more suited to more advanced users. However, I think it is something worth investigating in the future.

Lost Vape Mirage 'User Manual'. Section 8. Puff Replay: Puff Replay is a new feature to the DNA 75C that allows the user to save ....

Obviously Lost Vape expected the Mirage to have the Replay firmware installed when they re-printed their manual ( well scruffy single A4 sheet). Anyone wish to have a go at them for this 'missing' feature?

Have they just jumped the gun - or does Evolv have problems with the replay firmware?

It's also on the box - Puff Replay

That's just Lost Vape jumping the gun or just preemptively putting it in their manual; that's their problem.

Not knowing the full description of the purpose of PK "Allow on unlikely coils"  it may just be a hidden tool that can be used to see if one can vape what seems to be an "unlikely coil".  At this point I see no real value to use it on a regular basis as Replay works nicely.... or maybe it's use can be used for something coming in the future that we know not what it is yet...????

For years now we have seen the DNA technology continually go to the next level and I have wondered for years also if Evolv will ever design what is the weak link (in my opinion) of vaping.  That being the atomizer with its legacy connection issues.  How great it would be to have a new atomizer technology with something different than the "the old technology in the room" .... that being the 510 connector. Noted that Evolv's 510 connector is the best one I've ever used.....

If it's hidden there must be a reason especially so early on in the release of the feature.

Completely agree on the second point. DNA devices have by far the best TC but it never caught on because of 2 main issues: bad 510 connections and sketchy atomiser design that results in unstable resistance. I've been complaining for ages and have written to various people such as pbusardo to convince them to stress the importance of these 2 factors in the reliability of TC but nothing has come out of it.

I haven't tried the Evolv 510 but I'm using the Source 510 in all of my 3D printed mods, which is derived from Evolvs design. It is by far the most reliable spring-loaded 510 I have ever used and results in excellent TC. The most reliable is obviously the old 510 non adjustable (or non spring loaded) 510s from my GG mods. I understand the convenience of a spring loaded connection but has just led to massive inconsistency issues because of flawed and cheap designs and is the main contributing factor to almost noone using TC.

Sorry of the rant but I'm quite passionate about this topic and looking back maybe I could have done more but we we're here now.

  6. Relax everyone.  Evolv never sold DNA75C with Replay as a feature. We're getting it as an added benefit. It will be ready when it's ready. If they were worried about it affecting 250C sales they wouldn't have announced the availability of the feature on the 75C preemptively. Having said that, I cant wait to try it and I certainly don't plan on ever buying a large device like the 250C to try it.

Also, while Apple isn't perfect, just contemplate on the fact that iPhones go at least 4-5 of continuous updates, while most of the Android devices out there are still running the stock Android version they were sold with after 4-5 years.

I do wonder if the replay feature is gonna be a game changer for regular mtl vaping as well, since I mainly see the benefits for sqoinking for now. I'd love to try it though.

TC is a game changer imho for any type of vaping it just wasn't implemented correctly. Replay seems to work better, especially since it seems to be more forgiving and works more reliably; it's going to be pretty big.

  8. Definitely a problem with the 510 (or in some cases the atomiser) which gives an unstable reading. If you run atomiser analyser you'll see the resistance moving all over the place without you powering the mod.

Poor 510 connections is a major issue, even in big manufacturers and it is the biggest contributor to people not using TC as it makes it highly unreliable. The problem is manufacturers never bothered to make good 510 connections and everyone just blamed the inconsistency on the technology.
