  1. Okay well that sucks. I'm assuming it would be unwise to raise it above 1 amps on a basic setup with no additional hardware.
  2. Probably not relevant but I figured I would throw it out there just in case. I originally was using the CSV file I got from Steam-engine/wire-wizard and I was getting a lot of variations from each "puff" I believe my problem was that I was using a TCR for a grade 1 titanium but my coil was the .5mm from SSV which is a grade 1 titanium. Now just from looking at the TCR values there wasn't all the big of a difference but it seems to have helped now that I am using the CSV file that SSV provided.
  3. I'm sure many have noticed or even experienced the charging on the Vaporshark DNA200 mod that features a "zip" charging feature that allows you to charge the battery extremely quickly at 2 amps. My question is: Is there some sort of hardware piece that has been added to just that mod to allow it to do that or is it all in the software. I know Escribe allows you to manage the max charging rate but I have left mine at 1 amp out of fear for damaging something. Anyone have any experience with this, or at least are less ignorant on this topic than myself? Thanks in advance.
  4. Can someone please explain to me what locking the resistance is all about. I am brand new to temp control and so far this damn Ti wire is kicking my ass.
  5. Little update: I cleaned the hell out of my entire dripper by soaking it in some vodka and then giving it some elbow grease. Using the same spaced coil that I had in there it now works great. For those suggesting something other than SSV, what would you suggest? I spoke to a buddy of mine who is very educated on the subject of metallurgy and he said that at the temperatures used for vaping grade 1 and grade 2 Titanium should be more than safe. Now with that being said I can't comment on the "special" process SSV is talking about. Would I be better off with Spider Silk? Unkamen seems like they have good prices but should I be concerned that it is meant for jewelry? I understand that there typically is no special process used to make "vaping wire" but I've also heard Unkamen stuff has a lot of residue on it.
  6. Soulseek, I am definitely new to all of this but I understand how TCR works. Like I said I am using the curve that SSV provided for their .5mm wire and all I have tried using so far is SSV .5mm wire. I will begin ensuring that the cold resistance is stable like you mentioned. I am currently using a Tobeco Velocity clone.
  7. Hey everybody, So i'm new to temp control and I've got to be doing something wrong because it is literally lighting my cotton on fire. I am using Ti as I am allergic to Nickel. I used the SSV Ti curve that was provided by SSV in another thread in this forum. I attempted to vape at 50 watts and 350 degree Fahrenheit. I took a couple of hits and it was HOT and tasted like burnt cotton. Figured it might be the coils because I made some contact coils with the .5 SSV Ti wire. So i switched to a spaced coil and same thing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
  8. same here. 64bit home edition. I was curious so I tried it on my surface pro with edge and it didn't work. but for some reason on my desktop it worked perfectly fine.
  9. I downloaded it just fine using edge. Bit off topic but as a long time chrome user I have officially switched to Edge. It destroys chrome and Firefox in benchmark tests and damn is it just nice to use overall.
  10. I was curious and just tried to download some files from there. Couldn't get it to work with IE, but microsoft edge browser and chrome both worked fine.
