about a week and a half ago had a fuse pop in the middle of taking a puff. Last night had basically the same thing happen again. when plugged into the computer and no atty attached it reads fine in escribe. once an atty (kanthal Nichrome clapton) makes contact, my computer beeps as if it lost connection to the device and the board screen goes black. as soon as I unscrew it enough to lose connection the computer beeps again as its regained connection to the device, and the screen powers back up.
