I just pull out the - side first also, never had an issue yet.

my mistake your right, i left the soft cut off at 3.09 to help make up for the voltage drop so common in Li-Ions.

I set my hard cut off at 2.8v (rated 2.6v) and 3.09v for soft for the LG HE2s.
