My new one did it's the battery fitment it pushes against board or I should say the frame it sets in just try to position it toward the left more. It could be the wire too pushing against it squashed inbetween battery and board the new ones seem not to fit together so good. I have an earlier release and it's perfect

I threw the 18650 sled back in and it seems a lot better. I was just hoping to use the Lipo until I can get some batteries. Also if you removed the carbon fiber panels how did you go about it? I can seem to figure out a way that won't scratch it.
  2. So my VT200 is acting funny still. No matter what wire I run (NiFe or Ti) I can't get this stupid thing to work. I've tried every combo of every variable and nothing is working. It's almost as if my temperature is off, or my ohms reader is off. Nothing runs unless my temp is above 500°f, and unless I manually lock the resistance in .1 higher that rest reading it doesn't work. I just recently factory reset everything and ran the case analyzer hoping that would fix it. I used all the settings from a thread on here for the thermal stuff, but I'm not sure if it applies to my service since mines an earlier serial number. Any ideas on what the issue is?

  3. So I've been having some problems with my VT200 when using NiFe48 wire. It seems like its instantly hitting temp protection no matter what. I've tried more wick, less wick, cotton/rayon. Spaced/contact coils. Nothings working. It was working fine just a week or two ago. I have the CSV from steam engine. If I lock the resistance .1 above what it reads it sort of works. (Like resting is .9 and I lock it at .10) I plan on running the case analyzer tonight. And I did change some settings to what someone else had their VT200 set too. Should I restore to defaults and try that? Along with the case analyzer? Is there a firmware update for the VT200?

  4. So I love my DNA200, minus the battery in my VT200. While I have time before work, and on my lunch; Is anyone making a dual 18650 version that sells them. Besides the ridiculously priced boxer? In other words, I will pay someone to make me a (decently priced) dual 18650. This is basically a WTB thread for a 2x18650 DNA200 (or DNA133?) Mods: if this isn't allowed feel free to delete it.

  5. I got a friend who wants to build a dual 18650 DNA200, but my searches here haven't come up with much. It's my understanding that the boards come from the factory ready to accept Lipo's. Which doesn't jive with connecting it to a battery sled. Looking for a tutorial on how to do this and what parts he would need. If this needs to be in a different place let me know, and thanks for your help.
