Welcome Analias, yea there is loads of info, but I would just install EScribe and have a play, there is a great interactive tutorial and a manual to help you find your way around it is easier than it looks at first.

Yes, like Vaping Bad said, once you get through the tutorial and play around with Escribe a bit, you will truly experience how easy(and fun) it can be to customize/personalize your device. There is an infinite amount of information on these forums as well, so I highly recommend it! Congratulations and Enjoy!
  2. Like ChunkyButt said, try forcing a firmware update or try rebooting your computer with your mod hooked up to it to try and reboot it. If neither of those work, then open a ticket with Evolv through their homepage. I say it all the time, that Evolv has impeccable customer service. So, don't fret, your issue will be resolved. Good luck and keep us updated!

  3. Typically, you would contact the vendor first, if it is still under warranty. If you find yourself getting nowhere from the vendor or your warranty is not valid, contact Evol-by going their homepage and submitting an RMA ticket...if you have any further questions, just ask. There are many people on here willing to help. Evolv has impeccable customer service, so don't fret, your problem will surely be resolved if your vendor fails to remedy the situation.

I use NI200 Tempered and get a great vape and i used to be the same way about it. I couldn't get what i wanted til i started to use these NI200 Claptons. They are 26ga NI200 tempered with 32ga NI200 annealed wrapped. and I love them. It's all about figuring what you like.

To be honest, I have not tried those yet, but I have some friends who have and say the same thing. I would definitely give them a try.
  5. I have found that the only wire I care to use TC with is Titanium and Stainless Steel. I have tried time and time again to like Ni200, mainly because I have 100ft rolls in both 28 & 26, but I just don't care for it at all. I thought it was something I was doing wrong, but I've come to the conclusion that it is just a waist of time for me, because I always end up ripping the coils out and replacing them after a couple of hours. However, I understand that there are many people who enjoy it and have sworn that it's the most flavorful vape they've ever had. So, for the sake of adding to this thread, it all comes down to personal preference, which is why our community is so awesome. If everyone Vaped the same, there would be no innovation, Vaping would be boring and we wouldn't be where we are today...It's a beautiful thing. As long as we respect each other and keep in mind the real reason we do what we do, then it doesn't matter.

  6. Unfortunately, there is no option to use Escribe with any type of Mac OS or IOS, and I don't see it happening in the near future. However, I could be wrong...it wouldn't be the first time. The best advice is to purchase a cheap used Windows laptop or tablet, if you do not already have a windows computer. If it's the mobile aspect you are searching for, you can also choose to use a Windows tablet, such as the Winbook TW700, which is what I chose to do. I originally bought a laptop, but returned it and went with the tablet. I'm so glad I did too, because I can take Escribe with me wherever I go! Here is my set up:

  7. Honestly, it's going to be subjective for everyone. I think there's a reason you bought the Tuglyfe to begin with and once it is fixed, I am sure it will be fine. Flawless has always made products that are reliable, so I would say stick with what you bought to begin with. I have the Hotcig, and although the battery was junk when I got it, once I replaced it with the Fullymax 900mah, it has worked "flawlessly" (no pun intended). I understand the rave behind the Releaux, hell, I'll probably break down and buy one one day, but, I also think that the lipo is the best battery for the DNA 200-the capabilities of a lipo far exceed that of any 18650 battery. Granted the battery life isn't the greatest, but honestly, I don't think it's that bad. If you are a Vape enthusiast like me, then you have other devices you can use other than your DNA 200. I love my DNA 200, but I have many other devices I enjoy using as well. I am never in a position where I can't Vape on something. I think you should try out the Tuglyfw a bit, since it was your first choice anyways. Maybe you won't like it, buy I'm pretty sure you will. Good luck with everything...and Vape on!

These threads are scaring me... I actually just pulled the trigger on one of these last night, I wonder what the actual fail rate on this mod is.

I know it seems that all you read is "bad" things and problems in this forum, but that is essentially what this forum is for, so you don't always hear about the success this chip has to offer. I imagine that most owners of this device have never had a use for this forum, so don't get scared quite yet This DNA 200 chip is the first of its kind, so naturally there's going to be kinks along the way. So far, I haven't read about a problem that couldn't be resolved. All in all, I think you will be happy with your purchase!
  9. I don't think it's fair to say there is a single defect that causes the boards to "burn" or stop working. From what I have read it can be several different things. Some, actually, that have nothing to do with the board itself. I am glad to hear you had a pleasant experience getting it fixed though. Like you mentioned, I knew once I took that first puff off my DNA 200, that my life would never be the same. I would be totally happy if this was the last device I ever owned-It is that good. There is something the DNA 200 has, that no other device can offer, that enhances the user experience. In my opinion, Evolv has set the standard, and is in a league of their own. I am definitely a proud owner of a DNA 200.

  10. Sorry, I didn't realize there were already 2 posts before mine recommending SS. I haven't quite figured out titanium yet with the DNA 200, but I have used it with my IPV D2 and it worked fairly well, but I think I am using the wrong CSV file with the DNA, so my attempts so far have been undesirable. Nonetheless, other than the precautions of dry burning titanium to prevent the "harmful" oxides produced (I only use quotations, because it is my understanding that the research is inconclusive), I can only imagine that titanium is one of the safest alternatives, since it is widely used in the medical field. However, I am no scientist or physician, so don't take my word for it. Aside from being technical, it seems that titanium is a favorite for TC, amongst the masses of those who have tried it. There are definitely people here who are much more knowledgeable and credible than I am when it comes to this subject. I personally am old skool, so I am a big fan of Kanthal and Nichrome, and have enjoyed SS as well. Anyways, sorry for the blabber, I got carried away...again. Good luck.
