  1. Yea, I hope they can figure this out soon. Kind of sucks not being able to use the software. I checked in my device manager and didn't see any conflicts, everything looks normal in there as far as I could tell.
  2. So I found something by accident tonight, I had unplugged my keyboard by accident and didn't realize it, I opened up Escribe and it worked with the mouse, all buttons functioning just no keyboard input. When I plugged in the keyboard Escribe froze again. The only way I was able to work in Escribe with the keyboard and mouse was to repeatedly hit the esc button while the mouse pointer was where I wanted it. There has to be some conflict there somewhere I just don't have the knowledge to figure it out but I know someone will. Hope this bit of info helps.
  3. tried several different versions along with the latest and greatest still no luck.
  4. Hi Feklar, I'm having the same exact trouble as you. I too have a 890FX board, Asus Crosshair IV with the same NEC usb controller. I just did a clean install of Windows 7 pro because I tried Windows 10 and had problems with my ATI drivers as a matter of fact I had problems with my usb port drivers, that's why I did a clean install, they all work now. I'm interested in what the solution is.
  5. Hmm, I'm going to have to check that when I get home tonight (at the kids hockey practice) I downloaded the one from EVOLV's site so I just don't know. It seems like I'm having the same problem the other guys are having.
  6. Hi all, I just downloaded Escribe and installed on a clean install of Windows 7 Pro on an AMD platform. When I open Escribe it just sits there and won't let me open anything. In order to close it I have to use m y task manager. If I hookup my board it does recognize it but still Escribe is frozen. I have read through the forums and nothing has helped. Dan
  7. Thanks for the tips, this station is still fairly new to me and the only stuff I have been doing with it is mostly 18ga or smaller. I've been between 550-580F but I think for the 14ga wire I'll be turning up the temp a bit and using my bigger tip, don't remember the exact one. I have a foot each of the 14ga so I could do a little practicing.
  8. I have a quick question about this. I'm just about ready to start putting together my mod and I have never soldered such thick wire (14ga) to that small pad for the 510 connections. I use the hakko fx88d, which I've only used for my dna 30 and 40, what would be a good temp to use on this?
