  1. I am going to get a DNA 250C and was wondering if anyone can help me with two questions. Firstly, do the triple battery mods like Triade or Rebel 3x18650 give me any advantages besides battery life and a max 300W output? I'd rather remain with dual 18650 size/weight mods since VTC5D and if needed, Samsung 20S batteries are the new stuff 18650 users have finally gotten. Also, is the Paranormal DNA 250C poorly designed like I hear or is it just a little underwhelming given other good reasons to choose the mod? The Rebel is sweetness. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for reminding me of the SS mesh coil for the Freemax Mesh Pro. I have all the common tanks by Smok, Horizon, Freemax, Uwell, etc...so my coil options are not limited to Kanthal, but I use Kanthal. Today is the .15 ohm triple mesh 110W Freemax Mesh Pro tank. (99W sweetspot on my mod). I just think I should get the Paranormal DNA 250C. Input would help so much.
  3. So, temp control is the ONLY way to use this? I know that's false since I've had DNA 200 wattage mode. However, it was not great years ago. Do non temp coils like Kanthal work more easily than before or do I still need to spend hours sesrching for graphs and file formats that may or may not be correct? Manufacturer coils made of an uncertain Kanthal. Is the program particular or safe if I guess? Better yet, is it preset? I know not all tanks coils will work ATM unless downloaded curves are added, but I'd like some input on presets and Kanthal-Mesh or not, please. I know there's a SS mesh coil for my tank but I'm a cloud chaser since it helps entertain me as I quit smoking. Is vapor commonly sacrificed for the perfect temp and strictly flavor oriented vape? I want to keep my options open and nobody understands my question. Thanks in advance.
  4. Ok, but what about wattage mode Kanthal coils?
  5. is primarily a Power Mod/Wattage Mode kind of guy. I use the typical overpriced Freemax Pro Mesh triple mesh .15 ohm 110W Kanthal coils, TFV12 Cloud Prince .12 ohm T-10 110W coils, .2 ohm 90W mesh coils or regular Kanthal. Would the Power Mode be more accessible and user friendly than the older versions of the DNA 200? I had to search the web for files and curves/graphs/charts...for Kanthal. I want to try TC the DNA way but I was wondering if the presets or simpler Escribe configuration tweaks are part of the DNA 250C game plan. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if anybody feels the need to school me on TC, can you explain how TC is supposed to be the ultimate experience? I may become a convert. Thanks in advance.
  6. I agree, however, I am likely to fry or melt or incorrectly install my own Lipo pack. I think the consumer devices (think Lavabox, Hcigar, Vaporshark, and others) are made for precisely for chumps like myself. I build PC Desktops, but that doesn't require a mini torch and a very delicate chip, both physically, and technically speaking that I've never seen with my own eyes. Never opened a mod, customized one, don't want to. I choose to pay $200 or more and expect to get what I paid for. I'm sure DNA 250 box mods will cost a pretty penny and I understand the value and cost to Evolvapor of the production of said chips nevermind shipping parts and devices around the globe before consumer ready devices are available, but I'm willing to pay for the 1800mAH 35 amp Lipo feature, or the 2200mAH 30 amp pack that charges under any condition with any charger owners would be able to use. a a
  7. Do you think or know if the next DNA250 wave of manufacturers will spend the resources on higher mAH Lipo powered only consumer ready mods? I hope so because I think my Hcigar Vt200 1300mAH Lipo and my friend's new Lavabox with a preinstalled 1300mAH Lipo and 25 amps are appropriate for DNA200 mods. His for $199 but worth the cost, mine, older and apparently not a total 1300mAH ALTHOUGH close to it. ??? I would love to see no 18650 powered DNA250's and 1800mAH. 2100mAH, etc. 30-35 amp Lipo packs. Any ideas?
  8. I actually see that DNA200 mods need 25amps and DNA250 mods require 30amps. This is satisfying. Protovapor is selling orders for XPV DNA200D 11.1wh 900mAH 3-s LIPO mod with faster charging. Rep told me it's shipping most likely by mid-December when I ordered it in my own two tone Aluminum Alloy custom. I don't mind owning a 900mAH mod if it's a LIPO DNA250 and very soon.
  9. I use the last production model batch of the Hcigar VT200 and mostly use VW mode now that it can more easily adjust. TFV4 TF-T8 .16 coils at 168W, and Cleito 120 .16ohm coils reaching 125W is 26 amp territory if I had that ability to set the voltage to 4.3v safely in escribe, which would match my IPV5x voltage with 2 charged Sony VTC5As. I know. DNA chips don't need anymore of a push voltage wise but the thought has me confused. Lavabox makes a new 1300mAH edition with a preinstalled upgraded LIPO. Im grabbing this for $200 because I hear it's a great mod that has more available amperage if needed which the spec sheet says for the chip. 50amp i think max. Anyway, if you could clear up the confusion regarding amperage limits per DNA200 Mod brand, that'd be great. Also, more LIPO only models are what I hope makers sell, because it's 30% of DNA mod appeal...for in the future DNA250s. Thanks
  10. Protovapor.com has a 6-8 week estimated time for stock and shipping a DNA250. I Ordered Black on Lava Fullymax 11.1v 3S 900mah (9.99 Wh nominal) lithium-polymer. Eventually when it's in stock and shipped, is this lipo different than a VT200 Hcigar 1300mAH 3-s LIPO or is it the usual 900mAH 3-s LIPO found in the VS and Lavabox? Also is the amperage availability increasing if needed to 30amps or in the future adapting to up to 50amps as the board allows for technically? If the only change is wattage I'll try to switch my order to a 1300mAH LIPO extended battery XPV DNA 200 MOD. Thanks.
  11. Hi. I have found that dual/triple 18650 powered VW Box Mods like the RX200S or the Koopor Primus (just the two I'm in love with this season) flawlessly handle an Aspire Cleito/Cleito 120 and my newer model TFV4 with no leaking issues ever btw. Though now...I'm dusting off my Hcigar VT200 mod I bought for $170 or so in black and silver stripe color scheme. It's compact, solid, but delicate at the same time. I use the slow USB port in the back of my Windows Desktop to ensure no problems arise although it takes a long time to charge. The easy way out of that headache is to charge the mod between uses, like at 70 percent battery remaining, begin charge again just for the hell of it. It might not be the best for the battery in the long run, but I'm gonna buy a DNA 250 as soon as I see one I like without any required 18650s. The 3-s Lithium Polymer powered mod is rated by the company as 1300mAH but most people say it's a few hundred mAH less in reality. However, the exact mAH rating isn't important since it's one long lasting beast. I am all about the Cleito 120 Clapton coils at about 100W and the TF-T8 "beast" Clapton coils just released for the TFV4 which I hit well over 120W always about 130 or so. I have had negative opinions in the past about certain features the mods lacked but WATTS in the material menu is genius and doesn't burn or overwork the coils like using random graphs and LSVs I don't even know that they meant but now I just press Wattage. I know the rest of the software's functions and they're essential to preventing burning and creating a nice vaping experience. Thanks Evolvapor for finally catering to us VW mode only folks.
  12. VW mode. Do I need to use the Kanthal wire curve in materials or can I just turn off the temperature features and vape like I have been in VW mode? I use the TFV4 subohm tank with .2ohm/100W, .15ohm/110W, .16ohm/125W, & .4ohm/91W Pre-made Smok Replacement coils. The difference between a strictly 18650 powered VW Kanthal vape and a DNA 200 hit (Hcigar VT200) is I think it uses up more liquid and burns through the coil sooner, also has less flavor, only more vapor. Can anybody help me with this?
  13. I have been using a Smoktech H-Priv (Which is nice with Dual 18650 LG HD4s or official Sony VTC4s) a Reuleaux RX200S (which I'm disappointed with performance wise), and my old workhouse Hcigar VT200 DNA 200 regulated box mod un-modified or upgraded in anyway. Now I don't plan on using the DNA 200 Mod since I've always felt that it burns through Kanthal or Clapton coils meant for wattage only and it prevents taste from shining through. Is there going to be a wattage mode option that remedies such issues. If I had known DNA 200 mods were 95% made for improved TC function and features for users to customize their temperature experience, I wouldn't have bought one. However I have faith Evolv will eventually accommodate us VW only users in the near future. Any word on such new features?
