Replay saved- Playing- Check atomizer Warning
smlemmon replied to angealvape's topic in General Discussion
I purchased my paranormal DNA 250C a few days ago and I am getting exactly the same problem after having my build in my dual coil Blitz Enterprises Intrepid RTA for only a couple of days. I am using Coilology SS 316L Tri Core Fused Clapton Coils 3-28/38, ID 3mm at 0.33ohms It has been working SORT OF OK using replay, however I have to say that when recording at 80W which is the perfect hit, setting it to Playing results in a much more aggressive and hotter vape than it was when I was recording, which I found quite bizarre. I ended up having to record at between 5-10W lower than I needed to be to get a similar vape in play mode. I actually moved to Coilology coils as I was experiencing similar issues with a difference in Record / Play when using Doctor Coil stainless steel claptons on my OBS Crius 2 Dual Coil. Anyway, I could live with that until today when it now fires for about a second and then comes up with Check Atomiser in the display. Any advice would be very much appreciated as I am now going to have to revert to Watts mode which is a bit disappointing as Replay was the main reason I invested my hard earned pennies in the Lost Vape Paranormal. OK, so an update. I tweeked the settings this morning. I set the power to 55W and the temp to 440 degrees farenheit. I also changed the preheat to 0.3 seconds / 120W. I have now been running this for the last 3 hours on my Herakles V2 with no problems whatsoever. Whatever I have changed seems to have fixed it. Ran the same profile on both DNA devices and they both seem to be working perfectly. Thank you very much to all of you who have helped. It is very much appreciated. Simon

Thanks BillW50, I had tried setting the watts / heat to different values - anything from 440 degrees - 520 degrees and 40W-65W in all different variations. When it was working nicely, perfection on the Herakles seemed to be around 55W / 460 degrees and I think the settings in my ecig file are from the last download after updating the unit itself. I have another DNA Mod which I am going to try today with similar profiles. I only usually have that as my backup one, but am going to run that today and see if I get the same problem. I will update this thread as I go on. Many thanks for everyone's help. Simon

Hi, my tanks are normally stored on a tank stand, so I would expect they are at room temperature. I would hope that the wicking is ok as these are all pre-manufactured coils by the likes of uwell, herakles, aspire etc. The cool Vape (although not great) s much better than the very hot Vape hat I get. It is so hot, it hurts. Taking into account that this seems to occur on various tanks, coils etc, and all the comments I am starting to wonder if this is a problem with the reeaux rather than my profiles. I am reluctant to start taking the unit apart as it is only a month or so old.

Hi BillW50, Yes, see exactly the same issue for both Ss316L and NI200. It usually seems to correct itself if I leave it overnight and I can go back to a normal Vape for a couple of hours. It certainly does not correct itself within 10 minutes. I have checked the cold ohms and they do seem to remain the same +/-0.01ohms. Awsum150 - I will try and take a look at the device monitor to see what is going on, but I am not 100 % certain what characteristics I should be looking for to determine what the issue may be. Simon

Hi VapingBad, Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I tried locking the ohms when the cape as very cold. It made no difference so I unlocked it again. The Vape was still cold. That was when I tried removing the rank a couple of times, and the third and last time of reattaching the tank resulted in the Vape becoming red hot. The Herakles tank is brand new, and the contacts on the dna are immaculate. I added the 316l tcr from the steam-engine site, and both the cleito and herakles tank supposedly use this wire. If it had only happened on one tank or even one coil, then I maybe could have understood it more, but am seeing the same symptoms from three totally different tanks and coils. I have even thrown coils away as I thought they were faulty. All the stainless coils work perfectly though in VW mode. I am convinced I have done something stupid with the profiles, but I just cannot spot what I have done. Simon

Hi, I am relatively new to vaping, about 3 month now. I purchased my Realeaux DNA 200 about a month ago now, but am really struggling with TC modes. I have a few different tanks and nearly always use SS316L or NI200 Coils. At the moment, I have been using the following:- Aspire Cleito with the 0.4 ohm SS316L coils Uwell Crown with the 0.15 ohm NI200 coils Herakles V2 with the 0.2 ohm SS316L coils. I seem to be experiencing the same problem with all of them and I am starting to wonder if it is something I am blatently doing wrong. I have set up all the profiles for the different tanks / wires etc and downloaded the correct TCR's (particularly for the 316L coils) The problem that I have is that sometimes the vape will be perfect, other times it will be really cold, and others, so hot it burns my mouth. For example, I am currently using the Herakles V2 with the 0.2 ohm SS316L coil. When I first attached to the DNA tonight, I set it to 60W, 480 degrees farenheit. The ohms were showing 0.21. At this point, I did not lock the ohms. It ran perfectly for about two hours. After that, the vape became really cold. I hadnt changed a thing. I then tried locking the ohms, to no effect. I removed and re-attached the tank a couple of times, to no avail. I then removed the tank and re-attached a third time and the DNA asked me if it was a new coil. I clicked yes, vaped on the unit and it was so hot, it about took my head off. This is the experience I am getting on all of the tanks mentioned above I really need some help with this if at all possible as it is driving me absolutely nuts. I am just about at the point of giving up on TC, and going back to variable watts mode instead. This of course negates the need for my DNA device and I will just end up going and getting a cheaper VW unit which I really do not want to do. I have attached my profiles for my tanks mentioned above as well as the settings file for my Realeaux device. I am really hoping that someone will be able to advise me of what I am doing wrong. Many thanks in advance. Simon Cleito.ecigpr HeraklesSS316L.ecigpr SimonWismecDNA200.ecig UwellCrownNi200_0_2.ecigpr

Can't select "Custom" coil material
smlemmon replied to smlemmon's topic in EScribe, Software and Firmware
Hi, I am a new starter with eScribe, so forgive me if I am being a bit thick. I have connected my Wismec Reuleaux DNA 200 Mod and all appears well. I was looking at creating a profile for my Uwell Crown SS316 coil, however, I do not get the "Custom.." option in the Custom Coil Material dropdown. All I get is Nickel. Am I missing something or just being really stupid? I have attached a screenshot. Many thanks Simon
