  1. You're gonna be glad you got the DNA, iCope. Coming from your Kanger, you should be set. This forum will provide a ton of help. Those links for set up are perfect, there are a few things you kinda need to do in escribe initially, but theyre pretty simple. And ask away. I have mostly lurked here, but its helped me with my DNA's, and some stuff I couldn't find on another forum I frequent. I personally wouldnt recommend a DNA to someone just starting out, but if you have a decent mod, tank, RDA, whatever, and you like TC, then go for it. I do think its a good call if you have vaped long enough to know you are gonna continue past smoking cessation. Especially if you find yourself enjopying the hobby aspect, as IMO, thats what the DNA 200 is for. Thats just opinion, and back to topic... iCope, I'm guessing you know the battery pairing necessity for this mod, and be careful pulling your batteries. If you push down on the spring loaded negative, they come out without tearing wrappers. I personally have never torn a wrapper on any mod, but this one does need a bit more care to remove the batteries. Only the inner right one, when looking at the battery side of the mod is tricky. I do a ribbon pull just enough on the positive end to work in a fingernail, then press the spring loaded terminal, and its done. You are gonna enjoy it, man. The DNA 200 has killed my other mods for TC, and i have quite a few others. Backups to backups to backups, lol. Gotta love vaping. Enjoy man!
  2. Just got this last night. I charged my VTC4's, brand new with the Reulaeux I got almost two weeks ago. On my Blu6, metered them at 4.2. Put them in the Reuleaux, battery percent and bar showed 84%. I have my charge fields set on this DNA 200 to display cell voltage. All were accurately reading 4.2, and it stopped charging internally. Watt hours were 18 something, in the device monitor, and I'm using a battery profile from here that the Reuleaux tested VTC4's at 21.44. That was still correct. I tried swapping to another set of batteries, same thing, married set all read 4.2 in the device and escribe, but 84%. Was late so I just pulled the batteries and went to bed. Same crap this morning. Then I put the batteries in rotated again, and got no screen, then error press up to continue. It booted all was fine, but 84% still. I ended up going into device monitor and changed my watt hours manually to 21.44, my pack was at 12.6, cells at 4.2. And uploaded, so far all is fine. I was gonna hard reboot, but I had batteries in, and it didn't seem to want to do it. I'm gonna keep monitoring the cells. I set the charge display on this guy to show the cells so I could make sure all were staying balanced without escribe. Also, I should say that live monitoring, even prior to the fix, all my batteries sagged evenly dead on. .35 atty, kanthal, authentic vector, 63 watts. Everything but the watt hours, only in live monitoring was perfect. So, I reset the watt hours when fully charged in device monitor. I've pulled and rotated the batteries since, we are good so far. After having to fix the screen ribbon a good week ago, now this, I'm concerned about this device. My Tugboat DNA 200 is over a month old, and it's been perfect. Hope this maybe helps someone.
  3. Been following this and some other threads lurking so far around here. Thanks so much for pointing this out. I don't have Facebook, so the pics were very helpful. VapeNW, early order with the stacked coupons, mine was under the button. For all who are apprehensive, the plate is easily removed with little blue atty screwdrivers. Once open, you can at least see if yours is faulty. I'm awful at fixing anything non mech, but is pulled it open just to check, and see my comfort level from there. It took me a tad more time than most, but I fixed it. Again, I mess up stuff when boards and wires are concerned, but I was fine doing this. All,who are apprehensive, I suggest at least checking your fire button. That much is simple, the rest is pretty easy, just a bit nerve wracking. All should at least open it up to see where they stand in my opinion. Then, stop if it's too much.
