I know copper or brass would be best but why not use a 7x0.5mm tap?

Contact Roger cs@opusvapor.com Top bloke to deal with =)

That's the 1590B dimensions you have stated. 1590G is 96mm x 46mm x 21mm
-
Looks like an alligator clip with insulation holding the board
-
Yes one lead at a time so you don't short the battery =)

Thanks mate, I submitted a ticket yesterday and got a reply straight away =) Evolv are awesome!! I mainly posted this to see if anyone had some input on why this could've happened

Hey there
Did my first dna200 build today all was good connected to escribe fine.
Started changing some settings like battery WH etc and was about to do a case analyser.
Screen went dead and i lost connection to escribe. Message came up on my pc, usb device exceeded power limit, power surge on usb hub.
Fuse looks intact but i can see where something has shorted on the board

Roger's email to me said he needs the unit for a couple of weeks because he's waiting on evolv to get back to him with a reason and solution. He didn't want to just replace the chip and send it back without knowing why it's happening. I'm just glad it's getting fixed in the long run.Noixd said:I was talking to Roger at Opus and he is stating that the fuses is because of Evolve's chip. He states that it's not Opus's problem as they only put a case on it. So I'm not sure who is to blame for all these faulty incidents.

Wow $6,I wish, it cost me $38 to send mine back from Australia plus it's 2 weeks transit time each way. I really hope opus sort this out, I won't be sending it back a second time. It'll be an expensive paper weight..

I don't think he's selling them, he wants to swap with other people's boxes that are having problems, too see if it's the enclosure or the way it's been put together rather than the chip that is causing problems.
Gm111 said:
I will purchase a beta unit John =)
I realise that =) was just goofing around
my opus200 was just sent back for repair and I'm kind of desperate to get my hands back on a dna200 mod -
I will purchase a beta unit John =)

Any chance of a pic of the inside of the 44Vape_Like_A_Boss said:I'm running a Joe Litt (he's the modder) Litt Up Customs mod, the model is the "44", which is named after Joe's dad, it's his cart racing number nothing related to the mod specs.
It's in a Hammond box with a shapeways 3D printed size bezel. I just wanted to mention that I love this bezel that has the screen, buttons, and USB port all built in.
It's really clean with a REALLY good smooth yet suade type feel, it gives the hammond a very high end type feel where it gets felt up by my fingers. I'm not sure who makes the bezel but it's very high resolution 3D printing and it's been used exclusively since I got it almost 3 weeks ago, in and out of cupholders, vape boxes, airports and courthouse security scans, etc and still looks brand new.
I'll attach a pic, some modders will probably know what this housing side panel is called, but if there's different ones for different size hammond boxes, it may be of help to you. Mine's on a pretty big hammond box with a 2000 mah 3S LiPo, so I know lots of people will want a smaller one.

Yeah the Aussie dollar was good back then =) Thanks John I'll send you a pm

It will be interesting to see what has caused the fuse to blow and whether it happens again. Hopefully not, because shipping for me (Australia) is quite expensive. This mod now owes me $395AUD and more if I have to pay for return shipping. I guess it's part and parcel of being an early bird, I just wish I had another dna200 device to play with lol
-
i just unplugged from usb as the mod does feel warm just from doing the above in escribe
-
i charged it up last night and sat it down ready for the next day.
Grabbed it this morning had a puff and it seem lacking in taste.
I dripped and fired and thats when i heard the pop, so mid puff.
The mod hasn't left my house and has never been dropped.
The usb socket is a little wobbly like on my vapor flask, so not sure if thats normal because this is my only dna200 device, but its like my flask
Thanks for your help so far John I appreciate it!! -
Should i try rebooting or flash firmware ? -
its completely dead without usb connected, powers straight up when it is connected.
but only fires for a second to about 2W then error comes up -
No idea I just plugged it in and took the screen shot All I know is it went pop and screen blanked out, powers up and charges when plugged in to a charger or computer. It is chucking ohms too high, check battery, check atomizer, it fires sometimes but only low watts then warning messages appear.
-
Yes I can do that =) So devastated I'm in Australia so I know this is going to be long time without my opus =( lol

My opus has done the same thing today 0.06 450F 44w
