  1. Just bought a battery charger. And a extra battery and case. Get me by tell i can get the DNA color.
  2. I think I may have damaged my USB port on a VT75. I get no current to charge but I do get a data signal. I think the pins in the USB power connection were broken. Can I get a source to buy a new micro USB port? Possibly Mouser or Newark. I can do the soldering pretty easy myself. I am hoping to get by for a few weeks till I planned on buying the new 75 color. Thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks for the answer vaping bad. I guess I could have just searched that before asking. I can understand about the pricing thing. Might push the price of the device outside of what most people want or willing to pay. I think the biggest plus would be while away from home you could monitor on a smart phone. Hopefully sooner or later. But who knows if its even worth it if the FEDs are going to come in and stop everything we are using today. That will suck badly.
  4. Just wondering has bluetooth ever been considered to be built into the chipset? Or on the main board somehow? Would be awesome to link to escribe wirelesses. And maybe a android or iphone app. Thanks if someone knows if Evolv ever considered it.
  5. I was thinking about that. I tried a 10-32 screw and didn't fell right, was really close though. I am thinking its a metric screw of some sort. From that uk site it would be about $10. I can't imagine paying that for a tiny screw. Some people at my work might be able to find the right size. I may just put tin foil in there to make a good connection for now.
  6. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement screw for a Hcigar Vt75? The small screw in the middle of the battery cover. I lost the part at work today. I found a vendor in the UK. Trying to avoid that if possible. Thanks for the help
  7. I had similar problems to you with a Hcigar VT75 and a crown tank. Turned out it was just a loose cathode screw. Was easy to fix and haven't had any problems since. Even have a Crown 2 tank with .25ohm coil and works great. Good luck
  8. I read that loose negative lead would make the mod act strange. While it was doing this it was throwing ever error message over and over constantly. Was wondering while it was acting strange it didn't disable charging while I vaped. I was looking at the monitor in escribe and dam near hit 15+ amps when my laptop fried. And since the battery was partially dead I was thinking it drew a lot of current though the USB port. On this newer laptop has both USB2.0 and 3.0. I don't remember which one I was using. Even has a USB type c that I think I could use if I get a cord. Lol thats cool about the dumpster find. Asus are not bad laptops. I'm suprised how good and cheap they are. Maybe you can reformat and reinstall windows
  9. I have been using a wall wart charger mainly. And my old Dell laptop and work HP laptop. All those seem to charge fine. Checked with a USB amp meter and all did similar to what you witnessed. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Just scared to try on the newer laptop
  10. ASUS replaced the motherboard. Thankfully under warranty. The USB ports are all integrated to the MB. Not sure if this was the cause. The laptop now I can actually hear the fan. I can't remember hearing it before getting fried. I was fairly low when it happened. Around 25%. But was jumping all over the place with that loose connection.
  11. Hey Guys, I may have fried my new laptop while charging and taking a drag at I think around 70 watts. Or at least it happened right when I did take a puff. At the time I did have a loose screw from the negative terminal and the DNA75 was acting strange. Which I thought normally charging is disabled when you hit the fire button. Is that correct? I got a usb meter and only measured .8 amps while charging. Scared to try it again and monitor when I take a puff and damage laptop after I got it repaired. Can't find any info online about the current ratings of my cheap ASUS laptop. Thanks for any help
  12. Had this same problem with tons of strange error messages. Figured out it was just loose screw on the bottom. Tighten up and has been working like a charm since. But I damaged the bottom by over tightening the battery cover. It kind of bent the bottom case. Since its not a defect I can't claim warranty. Thinking of disassembling and bending it back.
