  1. Haven't figured it out yet. On its own, it's fine. It works. But side by side, it's different.
  2. Exactly. 105 works cause it bigger than 0.001,but who knows if it rounds off. Go over to general and I have a thread about the VS and VT200. The short answer is I have both and my VT200 does not hit as hard as my VS and it's 50 degrees higher with same profile. Close but not the same.
  3. What box are you running? Do a burn test. You can put what ever TCR in and get it where you like, but you have no clue what actual temp is. Do a burn test to see if you are in the ball park.
  4. Cool, thanks. I'll give it shot, but it will be a couple days. I'll set it to what it is, but right now set at 0.007 like the VS, it's still not the same. Just curious why now. Wait... So running SS, I locked the ohms. So will I have to unlock and lock again? When I was playing earlier, it did seem to change without doing that.
  5. So playing around... I put the VT200 bock to zero and put setting equal to the VS. Worse. Tried the .007 of the VS, then put it at .009. It increased the power... but still not to the same level as the VS. I'm not going to just juke it way up, but not really sure what the real value is. It does make a difference, but just not sure what the real value of the VT200 is. I have a the new 510 connector on mine.
  6. Yes, I understand that. I saw that the VT200 didn't come set. I set it to .005. If it needs to be .0045 that's fine, but not much off from what it is now. Is the .0045 accurate for the new 510? Or is the same for all?
  7. I can change it to that, but I guessed and it is at .005 right now. So as it stands, it's more now. The VS is at 0.007. Which is even more. So that is added to coil resistance right? Or rather it is subtracted. So if the value is increased, that cuts power sooner. So I get what you are saying. So ya, 0.002 difference in resistance which does matter with TC. If I set it to 0.007 it should be the same as the VS performance wise right?
  8. Just curious, my VS hits harder, better than my VT200. I have the exact same curves and two Crown tanks. I use the same coils and same settings. I have changed coils. I can swap tanks with same results. I run my VT200 50F hotter than my VS. And even then, the VT200 doesn't seem to hit as good. Punch and power just seem to be less. On its own I have no complaints. Great box. I'm happy. But I use both through the day when the other is charging. There is a definite difference. Any ideas?
  9. All the TCRs are just numbers right? 316 is 91. Well 0.00091. 304 is 0.001016. Well, the TCR in Steam Engine is 1016. I've seen 316 at 880, 304 at 1016. I've seen some use 1050. So you can do a TCR of what ever you want use what ever works best. Just understand, that regardless of what number you use, it has to be accurate to the real world. If it is 316, and you use the TCR for 430 (0.00155) then you set a temp of 400...well actual temp is going to be much hotter. Most people using Crown coils are using 304 TCR of 100. 100-105. (0.00105) So you can do that to compensate for the nickle legs. But you have done that, and if you have to go much over that, then it's wrong. Something isn't right.
  10. You can make the TCR what ever you want. But if you put in a higher TCR than you actually have, then the temp will be higher than you think. Meaning you have 400 set, but actual it's 500F. If you do a burn test with dry cotton, you could at least see if you are in the ball park. If you are making a little visible smoke 420-470 you are in the ball park. I have to use 304 with my 316 crown coils just because the nickle legs throw it off. But if you are buying 316 wire, then it should be 316.
  11. Thanks Chunky. My googlefu was off. Ya, plenty out there if you look right. Well hopefully Uwell will make a SS coil right for TC, or do Ti. The tank I love. But I got set up for TC because I like it. So I want to stick with it. The SS coils do work in TC. Seems consistent to me... Except when it looses it's mind. Juking the TCR or using 304 is certainly in the ball park. I have yet on hear anything on how accurate the DNA 200 is with SS. I realize the range is narrow, but it's just a matter of sample rate.
  12. So I just sold my SX Mini, but I had the firmware upgrade for user TCR. I have two DNA 200 boxes. VS and VT200. I've used the 0.25 and 0.50 Crown SS coils on both. TC works fine on both. Despite everything from Uwell saying the coils are 316, everyone uses 304 TCR. The difference is around 50F at 400F. Everyone, including me, say the 316 TCR is too cold. I did some burn tests on a dry coil, and the results were a little inconclusive. But using 304 TCR of 1016, it would smoke at 475F. Any hoo... I had one coil I thought was burning but wasn't sure. But then there was no doubt. On the SX mini and DNA. Oh well, bad coil. Lately, on both DNAs the TC has been inconsistent. Maybe 10% of the time sort of. TC works fine. Period. Then, another time I'll go to vape, and it's cold. I like around 450F. But it feels like nothing. And no initial punch either. Then, a couple times now, I go to vape, and it's super hot. Like full power. I have power at 100w. It doesn't let up. It doesn't temp control. Yesterday, when it happened, I lowered temp all the way to 200F but no change. I let it sit for a while, and it works fine again. Today, it was much hotter than normal. But turning temp down it did work, but at like 350F. I never use power mode. Never lock my ohms. Never connect a hot atty. Ohms are not fluctuating all over. But both boxes have done it. So I can only assume it's the Crown. The VT200 seems to hit noticeably less than the VS. Even though the settings are identical. And swapping tanks it's the same. Like the VT200 is set 50F lower. But, settings are identical and I use the same curve. It's just really weird. I am lost as to why it all works normal, even compared to the SX Mini, but then every now and then it doesn't. It's happened 5-6 times now. Anyone have any ideas?
  13. So where is the information on the Crown SS coils coming from? Because everything Uwell puts out says the tank is SUS 304, and the coils are SUS 316. I've seen a couple people say 304 but those were assumptions or non existent standards... Like saying all "food grade D" is 304. No such designation exists. Not a lot have mentioned Nickle legs, but some reputable folks here say so. Are Nickle legs a "common" thing in general? I have no clue. Anyway, I just wish I knew for sure. Seems a 304 TCR seems to work well... Big picture we are talking of a 50F temp error. I tried doing burn tests, but that isn't exactly accurate. In fact, seems the 304 TCR had a higher temp... For burn than the 316 which makes no sense. If it was actually 316, and I used a 304 TCR, then the temp of burn should have been lower than say 400F. So I was rather disappointed I couldn't get a more conclusive test. So what's the deal?
