Yes, if the TFR/TCR file doesn't match the material type, it will kick out of TC mode. Unscrewing the atty a bit and retightening should make it think you are using a new coil. Are you using one of those coil heads? You know store bought coils you just pop in. If so, they often use nickel legs and that changes the correct TFR/TCR. So what kind of atty is this?

I’m using a rebuildable RTA Hussar Avant. The wire profile 316L SS is correct it’s the same one I’ve been using for years on all my DNA boards and has always worked.

I’ve been messing with a troublesome Atty that works in TC ok initially then after a refill or when I mess with settings on the mod switches in to a power/watts mode and won’t switch back to TC even though I’m using a TC set profile. I’m using 316L SS wire.
I went in to Escribe after a clean up let it cool down took an Atomiser reading and locked the ohms. It worked for half a tank but I tried to see if I could adjust the Pre-heat which I had zero’d out previously in Escribe.
Well I couldn’t figure out how to adjust pre-heat on the mod for TC, only for Wattage mode, so is that change only possible in Escribe for TC mode.
what can I do to get my mod to switch back to TC when it’s switched over to Power/Watts and won’t switch back?

Or, sure, you can do that if you want. Here's a video showing how.
Where is the button to check Mod Resistance? Escribe has changed and I don't see it now when connected to a DNA60 mod. I have a copper shorting pin but cannot see the Electrical Section as shown in the video in Escribe anymore.

Buy some 21700 batteries, sound like your battery is past its best.

Just got the same mod. As you have discovered its only loaded with the Stock Evolv Theme and its missing so much. If you can get your brain round it I recommend creating your own or downloading one of the more recent Themes (with Replay) from the Themes Topic on the forum.
You can rename any of the Profiles and change how they work and with which ever wire you choose. Rename the Nichrome as Watts for example.

It would have been nice of Evolv if they had actually given us a guide to creating themes that work as we want them to with an explanation of what all the different settings do (as many sound or look similar but function differently) instead of leaving us to reverse engineer or fumble/guess our way through the settings in order to achieve what we want.
HOW ABOUT IT EVOLV ? - I don't know if it exists but it would have been a great help instead of me spending a great deal of time tweaking settings to get this right.

My mod currently changes temperature settings in 5 degree increments. How do I change that to 1 degree increments?

I'm running the very latest version SP25 on a new SVA DNA75c. What statistics are supposed to be re- set with that function set up as it doesn't appear to be doing anything. Can't seem to re-set any of the puff info either.
I've been tweaking the installed theme that came with the mod, but there are a couple do things that don't seem correct - Changing the temp the up/ down buttons are crossed to hitting what should be down (lower) actually raises the temp setting, same with power on the main screen. But on the Pre-Heat Punch screen adjusting the temp works the correct way.

I'm waiting for some new mods to appear. I guess the board is not widely available yet.
@turbocad6 - That is exactly what I want! Small DNA60 Squonk mod. That looks amazing.
TC mode switches to Power/Watts and won’t return to TC mode

Yes DNA60. I’m actually using a 316L profile that Daniel from YouTube channel DJLSB vapes did years ago. He had noted that the stock DNA profile was a bit off. I’ve used it for years.
it seems to have settled down now. I might try the tests below and see what the produces. Thanks for your input so far.
