  1. 0.005, thought of that too .... beginning to think that multi strand (Alien, Clapton, etc) coils are challenging to ensure the proper contact the chip needs. Always had used single strand coils, but got a wild hair to play with these more complex SS 316L coils. Not all experiments are a success, right ?
  2. Ran the case analyzer just in case, no better ... guess the coil is the culprit.
  3. OK, long time DNA user, but experiencing something new. Mod Hellfire Shadow DNA 75, Atty doesn't really matter, coil 316L SS fused Clapton If I let the mod sit it will read 0.24 and be lethargic (vape is too cool). I then disconnect / reconnect the battery and it will then read 0.26 and perform well ... that is until the next time it cools down. If I lock the Ohms when it's working as I wish (in this example 0.26), all good. That said, if I use simple round wire builds (SS 316 or SSV Ti) I don't seem to run into this. I was thinking it was the coils (have several similar coils in different atty's), but not totally convinced it's as simple as the coil ... maybe ? Complex SS 316 coil not providing consistent resistance ? I've always operated under the impression having to lock resistance meant something bad was happening elsewhere (atty, coil, etc). Any thoughts are appreciated ....
  4. Doh ... I had been chasing the wrong thing (changing resistance to match experience). Leaving the cold Ohms as is and simply increasing temp to where I like it made life good again. Been a while since I've played with DNA chips, been on the YiHi bandwagon for a while. Forgot how customized the experience can be in the DNA world. With great power comes great responsibility. Thanks for the input, really appreciate it.
  5. Dug around and didn't find exactly what I was after. In simple terms, if my mod sits for a while the resistance will read 0.19. I try to vape and it is very lethargic. I then unscrew the atty, hit the fire button, reattach atty, say yes to new atty (now 0.25) and it's as I left it when last vaping. I've run AA and all seems good. Not tried locking the atty, but suspect that's my fix. I run in temp using a 7 wrap over 3mm SSV .5 TI coil. Again, once I get it to recognize the coil at a higher resistance than what it sees cold, I'm good. Any ideas ? By the way ... Vaporshark Switch DNA 75
  6. Been running a Kanthal / Ni200 Clapton that performs OK using a Ni200 profile within eScribe. Using Steam Engine I "think" I built a Kanthal / Ni200 profile, however no amount of fiddling will make it work anywhere near as well as the standard Ni200 build. Very lethargic regardless of settings, reaches temp very quickly. So my question is, what success have others had building coils such as this ? And maybe more importantly, what settings are you running ? Thanks !
