  1. Buddy I did not make this board, took it out of a shit mod that cost me 480 pounds for a DIY project. The chip is glued to a plastic sled, does not touch anything and the only two cables are for the B+ to the positive terminal of the battery and the power to the 510 pin. Here are some pics, maybe it is clearer.

  2. Ok guys, I need your help. I am on another group where I gave a mod a bad review. Well along the discussion the subject that the chip on the mod is not grounded and these guys are telling me it does not need to be grounded, that it "earthens" (whatever that means) through the 510 pin....how can I explain this guy he is full of it and does not know what he is talking about? BTW the chip is not grounded to the 510 chip either.

  3. Yeah well, he had the mod for six months (I had returned it because the previous chip did not work), kept telling me he was waiting for the chip, and when finally I got mad and posted on his FB page, this is what he sent back.....he also has another mod from me, returned because the firing button did not work after two weeks, and since he is now upset because I outed him, he threatens to keep my money and the mod. Yes, they are good looking mods, but poorly made.

  4. Yes Harry at Element mods provides great service and it is sending me a chip so I can replace it. It is a simple solder job so I can manage. I am just surprised this happened. Also a bit worried because I ordered a mod from the UK and asked the modder to put a DNA 75 instead of a Dicodes chip which IMO has a horrible interface. Anyhow, thanks for the tip on opening a ticket retird, I appreciate your input.

  5. Ok so an atty leaked on my mod, I saw the 510 connection was flooded so I cleaned it up. When I tried to fire the mod again it game a message of "too hot". Thinking that some liquid might have leaked into the catch cup I took apart the mod, and as suspected the catch cup had liquid as well. So I cleaned everything, put it back together and tried it again. No luck! So now my question is how can this happen with this chip?!? Isn't it supposed to be protected against short circuit? There was no liquid on the chip, the mod design is good, it has a catch cup that prevents liquid from entering the internals. So I wrote Element mods and they told me it looked like it was a blown thermistor....not happy, if this chip is this fragile and has no short circuit protection, them I am double sol as I had another mod made where I asked for this chip.

  6. Yes, I went for DNA because I saw a review by Busardo where he compared DNA75 and YiHi 75. While the YiHi had a more accurate power curve, he showed the DNA had a smoother delivery although not really reaching the 75 watts. Since I never vape above 55 watts ( and rarely at this power setting) I thought the DNA would be better for me. I am pleased with my choice, the delivery is very smooth, fast and I love the e scribe.

  7. I am not as experienced as you with the TC and DNA, but I have found out that Ni and SS seem to work better with this chip. I love, absolutely love SS with this. Flawless performance and great flavor. This is really the way to vape. I know some reviewers state that that they hate TC vaping. I cannot understand why, sure vaping with mecs is fun and "easy" but being able to vape without worrying about dry hits is just great!

  8. Follow up, after spending a few hours troubleshooting, I noticed that this flaw was only happening with one atomizer. So I changed coils, made sure the leads were tight and the problems seems to have cleared up. Maybe the leads were loose (I had been using this atomizer fairly frequently) and it was causing a "false" reading and confusing the chip. Fingers crossed this is all the problem.

  9. So, I got an Elements mod, DNA 75 chip. It worked for 1 week until it all went to hell. Now the chip, when I put it in TC control for Titanum 1 it won't go into TC but it will display TC as "OFF", then when it does go into TC it will work for a while and then it will show a string of numbers when it hits the set temperature and it wont work for TC.
The screen does not show the settings placed in the e scribe screen menu, for example, for Temp sensing coils I have when not charging, OHM, temperature (standard) and profila name, in the mod it shows OHM, battery charge and Profile name, and of course the TC is off no matter what I do.
I tried to reset to manufacturer standard and it did not work. So I am very upset, I cannot believe this chip is sent this way. So now I have to ship back to the manufacturer, wait two weeks till it gets there, have it replaced and then another two three weeks to get it back. Worse, I asked another mod maker to put this chip in my new mod, now I am regretting this decision.
