  1. Does anyone have any info on what it would take to put a DNA60C in a Billet Box. Is the screen the only difference?
  2. I just got a Hellfire MOAB and i want to set it up through escribe. I tried searching but did not find anything. If anyone has a Hellfire logo or anything Hellfire related that would really help me out. Thanks in advance.
  3. Wow! I thought they were out of business. Where did you find a V250?
  4. It's nice to know there are some old skool street racers hangin around here. Kind of makes sense though. We were tinkerers then and we are still tinkerers now. Just smaller things that were modding.
  5. There aren't a lot of people that might understand that description of the temp control works on the minikin. I however do understand the reference and shot soda out my nose while reading that. Thanks for that!
  6. Thanks for the advice, I don't want to run it over. I just like knowing that I can.
  7. Oh i know about all of those mods i just happen to really like the form factor of that one. I also thought it was weird that he posted on here about that mod and then never came back to show anything else about it. I just figured someone on this forum would know about the mod or the modder. Thanks for the alternate choices though i appreciate the help.
  8. Does anyone have any info on JLit, I've PMed him and emailed him trying to find out if his mods will be for sale anywhere. im outta options at this point and i really want a DNA250 i can drive over with a car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Ok. I got to the root of the problem. I was able to unscrew the 510 out of the body of the mod. That is definitely where the problem was. The threads of the 510 and the threads in the mod were both really gunked up. Used rubbing alcohol and qtips to clean all the crap out of the threads on both the 510 and the mod. Put it all back together and it is reading the resistance perfect and staying rock solid. Hopefully this might help someone down the road.
  10. Ya I'll have to see if I can cobble something together to try and unscrew It out of the body. It has those 4 little notches in it but they won't be easy to grab.
  11. I don't know if grounding the 510 in this box is possible. I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something obvious. It's just really odd that it worked fine for a while. Could it possibly be a software issue?
  12. The ground points in the box are freshly cleaned with 1000 grit sand paper on a pencil eraser. The ground pads on the board were cleaned with rubbing alcohol. I've got everything I can see grounded rock solid. I'm just hoping someone can shed some new light on the subject. I feel like I'm to close to the problem maybe.
  13. All 3 are rock solid. I even cleaned the screws off with rubbing alcohol and flushed out the holes in the case as well just to make sure.
  14. So i got this V200 second hand. The guy selling it said it was like new and he really didn't use it. When i got it I hooked it up to Escribe and sure enough it had just under 300 puffs. So i put my Kayfun lite plus V2 on it and hit the fire button. i got the check atomizer screen. I tried taking the Kayfun off and putting it back on, still nothing. i opened it up to find the wire from the 510 had come off at the board. I soldered it back on and put it back together. After that it was working like a champ for months. Then one day out of the blue it was reading the resistance way higher than it was. i tried anything I could think of to get it to read the resistance properly again. This included taking the whole thing apart and taking the board out of the box. I cleaned everything with 90% rubbing alcohol, board mount screw holes and screws and the contact pads in the box and on the board. After all of that I'm still getting high resistance readings. At this point I'm asking for any info that may help me out with this thing. I really like the mod itself and want to get it working again. Thanks in advance for any help. P.S. sorry for the novel.
  15. Ya. I couldn't really figure out what to call it. I figured copper bolt with no head wouldn't cut it. And I was on my iPhone. At any rate I'm going to do all of the tests that can be done on this mod through escribe. I think there are enough of them out there that people would Like to know. Thanks for clarifying for me though.
