    Hi there

What is your mods internal resistance set at when it came to you. Thanks in advance

The default internal resistance set in the Paranormal 250C is 0.004.  I zeroed my Paranormal 250C out and checked with a copper plug and it is actually 0.005; not a big difference but worth mentioning.

    Cheers,

  2. After some research online and seeing that one user contacted ThinkVape directly, the LED is either not used or covered on this mod. ThinkVape stated that they do not use the LED, however I am not sure if it is part of the board or if they just didn't connect it.  Either way, it is not visible; my guess is that they covered it with a solid firing button or neglected to drill a "peep hole" in the case.

The mod/510 connector resistance as measured by a copper plug on mine is "0.004".

  3. giz_60, perhaps that is the issue, however I don't really want to disassemble the mod to check.  I feel as though if there was an LED behind the fire button, it would show through somewhat, it looks like there is enough spacing around the square fire button that it would be visible.  I have taken it into a very dark space and checked...nothing visible.  Thank you for your reply.

  4. The indicator light/LED under the fire button on my ThinkVape Finder DNA75C doesn't light up when pressed or when plugged in charging. I'm using the same theme as I have on another DNA 75 Color and the fire button light works on that one. I checked the light indicator tab in theme designer and it looks correct to me. Since the color screen turns off when charging/idle, I thought the LED was built onto the board, so I think it's not like ThinkVape skimped and didn't add the LED (IMO). I have no way of knowing at a quick glance whether the mod is charged (i.e. turns from red to green like my other DNA75C).  Maybe there is a way to add a "charging" screen to the theme to show charge status?  I'm not that savvy with theme designer, so I have no idea how to create a charging screen that would stay on (perhaps dimmed) to show the progress of the charging process?

I'm using escribe v2.0 SP6 and the latest firmware/SP on the device

My Theme is the "Therion - Paranormal - VT75C themes with icons English & Italian v2.6.2" and the only thing I modified is the Therion Logo to my own logo.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

    Thank you

  5. Just thought I would post a follow up in case anyone was having the same issue.  A friend who is quite knowledgeable with temp and all things Evolve played with the GeekVape (GV) SS430 wire for me and we found that a manual TCR of 0.00185 works well for this wire on the evolve chipset; he tweaked the TCR until it started to brown/burn dry cotton at 430-450 degree range.  We only tested the GV SS430 24ga, but I assume the same manual TCR would work also for the GV 26ga SS430.  The recommended manual TCR of 0.00138 for generic SS430 requires a very high temp (570+ degrees F) to produce acceptable vapor with the GV SS430.

  6. I recently got some Geek Vape SS430 (26ga & 24ga) and I am trying to get it working properly in temp.  I am using a single basic 6 wrap spaced coil, 3mm ID in a Merlin RTA.  The Steam Engine csv that I downloaded seems to need a very high temp to put out decent vapor and the stock SS430 csv from the SD75C seems to be really hot and thus requires a very low temp to work anywhere close to ok.  I am attaching the two csv files for reference but I am looking for input from users who may have their SS430 working well in temp.

    Thanks all :)

I don`t know what is the problem with it.

When i disconect Lipo and conect to Escribe.... device turns on but battery bar is empty. When i click fire it shows Check atomizer.

If i try to conect an atomizer, my laptop display flashes and appear a lot of noise on laptop speakers....

You are trying to fire it using the power from the USB port of your laptop, that isn't enough and you could damage your laptop (hence the noise from your laptop). Either the board or the battery are the problem here. Try checking the lipo on a hobby charger if you have access to one, any local hobby shop should be able to check your lipo. If the battery is bad then your next option should be to return it to evolve for warranty. They are really good about helping.
  8. I was looking to see if anyone had experience with the Panzer Box.  I did search these forums for that and came up empty.  I have looked on YouTube for videos, but all I came up with were elaborate setups with resistors/blocks and meters.  I will do some more digging, thanks for your input.

  9. Hey all, just received my first DNA200 a few days ago and it's the Panzer Box by Think Vape.

Being new to the whole DNA200 scene, I started tinkering in escribe and made a few custom screens up, but that's about all I have really done so far.

The battery is supposed to be a 1500mAh 3S LiPo (SDL823562HP - 1500 mAh according to the manufacturer AD brand made by Shida Batteries) and the watt hours set by the manufacturer 15.  Using the calculator, it should be 16.65, but if I change it, my mod tells me that the battery is only 90% charged when each cell is @ 4.20V.  Any suggestions?

Secondly, the soft cut-off is set to 3.59V, this seems a bit high, so I changed it to 3.3V for now.

Thanks for any help available :)
