  1. i just saw this. more info would be appreciated.(some pics etc). why not the latest 75c board? why not 18650 batteries? where is it made?
  2. as i suspected it seems to be a problem with my Kayfun lite build, since i transferred the tank to another mod and still the same sizzling. i could have avoided this thread buy doing so immediately but i didn't assume the problem came from the tank. as i was looking for why i had dry hits i stumbled upon a thread about the KFL wicking etc. and saw someone there state that:"A sign that the Kayfun is "stuffed" and you need to open the juice channels is if you puff and then you hear a sissling/sucking air sound for a second or so right after your puff... (mine was much longer but someone explains that too in this thread) and some more interesting stuff there for people having trouble with their Kayfun: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/if-you-have-issues-with-dry-hits-kayfun-lite.735803/ sorry for the bother and thanks for the help.
  3. no, but it happened after taking a few puffs of which the last one was a long one. can it be related to a bad coil build? for the moment i went to escribe and restored it to default.
  4. hello the mod worked great a few month, since yesterday, sometimes after releasing the fire button,it keeps firing a few seconds more. any ideas?
  5. i would like the screen to not light up when i fire, and maybe with 3 clicks make it light up so i can see my settings and change them if needed. in short;it's like the stealth mode in the evic vmini;meaning the screen is dark but i can push the button once to see and change my settings. in the dna's stealth mode,it's a whole procedure to achieve the same while in stealth mode.(lock change to regular mode, unlock, and the same to go back to stealth.)
  6. OK. so maybe I'm confusing it all, and read a manual of a completely different electric device ( a toaster or something..) so how come when i remove the battery and put a different one, it still remembers that I'm on stealth mode for example, or the current time in some mods? (it writes on some chip?)
  7. I'm almost sure i read that somewhere,or maybe it was about another mod.. never-mind,thanks anyway.
  8. is it an issue? i think i read somewhere it has an inbuilt battery for storing settings, I'm worried this one will drain completely..
  9. i missed that,i was on the 'clean' version. Thanks,I'll check it out later.
  10. -I'm on stealth mode; I'd like to be able to push the button once and get the screen to light up so i can quickly see my settings. -bypass mode;so i can see the exact status of my battery. -is there a way i can change the led color of the screen?,since in the Lavabox75 the screen is very dark and appear yellow.
  11. i just got my device. it seems that the escribe software for the Dna75 doesn't contain all of the above. it looks like a simplified version which allows you to tweak more or less everything, but comes whith preset settings for the basic wires and the device. not much left to do from my part, which is fine by me since I'm quit a basic user and not looking for to much hassle.
  12. ok, this is what i got from Volcano: Aloha ***, The DNA 75 actually does not require much tampering with. The device is good to use out of the box. We have also confirmed this with EVOLV who is the manufacture of the chip. I have attached a link to our blog with all the settings for the DNA 200 for you to refer to. http://www.volcanoecigs.com/blog/evolv-escribe-use-with-the-lavabox-dna-200.html
  13. i just re-watched a YouTube review on Lavabox 75 and it seems it comes with some preset profiles for a few type of wires. about the case analyzer, I'll wait to see what's on the mod when i get it, and also ask Volcano for their values, since i don't really want to do a 2-3 hours test.
  14. Thanks, that was clear. -if i understood correctly, the .csv files volcano provide are settings for the whole device:900 or 1300. but they also contain:"Ni/Ti/SS temperature control wire settings, custom screens with a simple, larger and easier to read font." i wonder how do i extract only those, since I'm looking for some general TC setting and not having to set multiple profile for the number of wraps i do/Inner diameter etc. in 'Steam engine'.(if that's possible and does exist). -about the battery i just read(by Mooch):"Don't overdischarge them. Our batteries are rated down to 2.5V or lower but you can extend their life by staying above 2.8V-3.0V***. Going below 2.0V or so leads to metal being plated inside different parts of the battery, eventually causing an internal short circuit and possible bursting of the battery.(***This is the resting voltage, NOT the voltage "under load" that the battery drops to when being used. If your mod stops firing when the battery drops to 3.2V the battery can rise back to to 3.5V or even higher after resting for a while. This "resting voltage" is the important voltage, the one to be used when determining how low you are really discharging your batteries.)" i think I'll put it somewhere in between and hope I'll get a descent battery run-time and no weak battery alerts.
  15. new to the dna, haven't even got my device yet, don't really know what i'm talking about, but I'm trying to prepare myself; I'm watching now Pbusardo's videos about the dna75 devices, and it seems one of the criteria is if they come with some settings from the factory: -case analyzer -set the internal resistance -if they come with some custom settings i contacted volcano about it and they said i could use the same settings of the DNA 200 for the Lavabox DNA 75 http://www.volcanoecigs.com/blog/evolv-escribe-use-with-the-lavabox-dna-200.html/page/1 http://www.volcanoecigs.com/blog/escribe-settings-lavabox-dna-200-1300-mah-battery-extender.html/page/2 here is a csv file: (i think for the 900mha lipo) www.volcanoecigs.com/media/blog/volcano-lavabox-escribe-battery-settings.csv and one for the 1300mah: www.volcanoecigs.com/media/blog/volcano-lavabox-1300mah-escribe-battery-settings.csv settings they suggest for the 900mah: Battery Capacity: 9.99Wh Soft Cell Cutoff: 3.09v Mod Internal Resistance: 0.007 Ohms and for the 1300: Battery Capacity: 14.43Wh Soft Cell Cutoff: 3.09v Mod Internal Resistance: 0.007 Ohms also there are differences in the thermal Case Settings between those 2 batteries(it's to long to copy/paste here, but you can see those in the links above) it seems weird to me since the lavabox200 comes with a lipo battery, and the 75 with a 18650. -are those csv files good for the 75?(if yes, which one?) -is Soft Cell Cutoff: 3.09v(for lipo)good for the 18650 battery? -should i do a case analyzer by myself with escribe when i get my device? I'd be glad if someone could explain a-bit or just tell me by the suggestions of volcano what should i put in each setting. Thanks.
