  1. That's because your device has the anti-burn working
  2. No, I am saying I have put a new pod empty on the device to see if the anti-burn works. It doesn't, otherwise why would it let me trigger the device on an empty pod? No pods I've tested taste burn even at 18w or 23w, because as soon as I see the flavor and cloud are very reduce, the wick its getting drier and I just refill. There is no point to wait for "Fill Pod" message because it is not going to show up. That means I have 2 devices with faulty DNA chips. That's my only conclusion. I've tried 6 different new pods with liquid until they were almost completely dry. The devices never cut the power and gave the "Fill Pod" warning.
  3. But why won't not trigger any anti-burn warning? If watts have influence, then they should put in the user manual, instead of the device just auto select the watts for you. And how to explain in both the 2 new devices I have here, if I insert an empty new pod, the device does not cut the power and let me vape?
  4. You mean the Live Ohm in the device monitor? My 0.8 pod goes from 0.5 to 0.62 when I vape. That also does not seem right
  5. Also, just curious. What resistance readings you get on the software for your pods? In my case, all my pods are supposed to be 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω, but they consistently read as 0.33Ω and 0.50Ω on the official software.
  6. According to their advertising, the chip reads 30.000 times per sec the temperature of the coil. The liquids cool down the coils, so the device should notice if there is a spike on the temperature more that should be. That is the sign the coil is getting dryer and so it should kick the anti-burn much earlier before its completely dry
  7. Never mind. I have 2 devices with faulty chips for sure. I've just test with a new empty pod that was never used, I do get the Anti-Burn message when insert the pod but both devices let me keep trigger and vape the empty pod
  8. Wait, are you saying the wick needs to be completely dry for the anti-burn to kick in? I though it will do it much earlier, because in my case when I start to see the pod almost empty, I can feel the vape is losing flavor and cloud, so I figure the anti-burn is not working and if I continue I am just going to burn the coil. And yes, I do get the "Anti-Burn" message on the display, every time I insert the pod. That message disappears after 2 seconds, is that how it works for you too?
  9. Hi FP1, I guess you are one of the lucky ones! It is quite bizarre that I have tested 6 pods and 2 new devices from different manufacturing batches and none activates the anti-burn. My guess is that there is a really bad Quality Control on these devices or my retailer is getting the kits from a dodgy supplier!
  10. But what does the watts have anything to do with the Anti-Burn function not working? To be honest, I am quite disappointed with this device and pods when I had so much expectation. I just had to dispose a new 0.6 pod that I've only fill twice and was already leaking like crazy from the bottom holes. Besides, my dealer sent me two new XLIM Pro 2 DNA devices and 6 pods (3x 0.6 & 3x 0.8). None of the devices activates the anti-burn function and they are from different batches. As a consumer I expect the device to work straight from the box and don't have to deal with software and firmware bugs. I have also emailed the OXVA Team explaining the problems and all I got is a reply to fill a form to claim a warranty. I don't need to claim a warranty, I just want an explanation why this product don't work as advertise. Since it does not work and no one offers a solution, it is easy for me to just return everything to my dealer and look for alternatives.
  11. Actually I have just installed the latest version Escribe Suite. When I connect my devices and go to Service Packs, the recommended firmware is: 1.1 SP112.2 INT There is another one on the list: 1.1 SP125.1 So I am just confused, why it is recommending an older one? In any case, I have now installed the 1.1 SP112.2 INT to see what happens. But right now, my 0.6 pod is almost empty and I am afraid it might not activate the anti-burn again
  12. Hi Wayneo I am not adjusting the watts manually, I just let the device choose: 0.6 Pods - 23w 0.8 Pods - 18w I have updated both devices to the latest firmware with the software: 1.28
  13. Hi everyone, I'm a new owner of the XLIM Pro 2 DNA and I'm a bit confused about some of the behavior I'm seeing. I've done a lot of troubleshooting and I'm hoping someone can help me understand if my pods are faulty or if my device is. My main issue is that the anti-burn feature is not working correctly. I got a few dry hits on a pod that was nearly empty. After contacting my dealer, I got a replacement kit, but I'm still seeing some confusing behavior. Here are my findings from the Escribe Atomizer Analyzer: Original 0.6Ω pod: Reads 0.3396Ω Original 0.8Ω pod: Reads 0.5098Ω Replacement 0.6Ω pod: Reads 0.3364Ω Replacement 0.8Ω pod: Reads 0.5098Ω I have a few questions for the community: Are these resistance readings normal for the XLIM Pro 2 DNA pods? The numbers are far from the advertised values, but I saw in a different thread that this might be a designed characteristic. What is the correct behavior of the anti-burn feature? I'm getting dry hits, but the "Fill Pod" message only seems to appear after I remove and re-insert the pod. Should it be active and prevent a dry hit in real time? What does the "Anti-Burn" message with the orange flame icon on the display mean when you insert the pod, Its active or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love the technology, but I'm struggling to get it to work correctly.
