Boost Punch is a proportional increase from your set watts, only at the beginning of your puff for 1 second. And it's only from 1-11 (longstanding bug that allows the number to go to 22). By starting Device Monitor with Power and Power set you can see the difference.

Was there any particular reason you chose 215C? By using Replay with watts material type, you could easily use your 60-65 watts which will give you dry hit protection.

Update - been using the TC with 65W and 240C, the performance has been quite decent. However, I also noticed another change and interesting behavior when I tried spacing my coils out - preheat seemed to last quite longer than before, I assume from longer heating - but for 2-3s it kept the full preheat power instead of cutting off at 1 second or so like before.

Also, spacing coils out allowed for better taste and more vapor, interestingly. I will take a look at the data from the chip once I sort out the USB issue (already opened a ticket with Evolv, but a common issue - DNA chip not being able to be recognized, getting power at no batteries on) , but will be looking into fine-tuning the preheat and likely the SS316 profile I currently have.

Not really, no. If anything I always try to stick below 250C to avoid burning out cotton. And I'll keep on testing 60-65W on TC, maybe try the replay as well

Sure, why not, to both. You're right there with the ability to change either or both at your will.

You could just vape in the watts profile and use boost: punch and come back and say what those numbers end up at.

Thanks! Going to test it now.

It is interesting - as for now testing without punch allowed me to go quite high, but anything above 70W on a longer drag is awful.

On open airflow 60-65W seems to be the sweet spot. How do steps in boost punch affect wattage? I to see I have 22 steps, and if I understand graphs correctly, it's similar to preheat in TC mode - shorter rampup to proper power/temp?

  4. Hello everyone,

I have been a user of a Riva Dovpo 250C mod for few weeks now, been trying to learn and use the TC setting to get the most out of my vape, but I feel like I am still missing something, and maybe more could be done.

I currently have aforementioned Dovpo mod with DNA250C with Provapers UI, and the atomizer is the Dead Rabbit 3 RTA with SS316 ~0.4ohm coils (26+34GA) in a dual configuration. I currently have it set at 215C with 45W of power, and preheat power of 65W with punch 6.

Question is - is it viable to increase the power? Or maybe change up the punch settings for an even better experience? I usually chainvape, and take rather long drags (6-8s at times) with 40-50% of airflow closed.

Any ideas what I could do to improve the flavour while keeping the option for long drags?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I am running legit Sony VTC 5/6s.
