  1. Yeah I got a KSGER solder station and ordered some low melting solder.. And as you say cant get worse ;)  I done a bit of soldering over the years, but never any ribbons..  But as you say low melt solder and less not more and I should get it done ..

Plus I seen a link earlier , that someone else had same prob - he placed ribbon and hot glued a piece plastic over top.. So gives me a couple options..    Like I said before, nice one for offer  - and I'll post a pic here what ever way it goes !!   Good or bad   - lol

    Happy New Year !!

  2. DNAPIC.thumb.jpg.d0cb991b1e43216356e0b1ef9594afe2.jpgThat would be amazing, im in uk wales..  if you can do that and shipping not to much, I'd be happy to pay for it..  my postcode is NP203LL

I was even thinking maybe I could put ribbon in place and then hot glue a small piece of plastic over it to hold it there, it's a bit awkward, but it's either that, or buy new board ?  But many thanks for the offer, thats really nice of you..

  3. Hi Guys/Girls..

One of my DNA 75c mods needed a new screen, but the ribbon mounting point latch was broken in process (that's the little flip over plastic part that holds ribbon in place).   I was wondering, can I replace the whole pin connector (seen one that I ( think will do the job on Aliexpress ) Or can I solder the ribbon direct to contact points.  Think it's possible, but just looking to see if anyone got any advise first..   Many thanks
