1. Did they replace it with a new production unit? Or same old pre-preproduction?
Has anyone sent theirs back and had good service from Hana?

Just got mine back yesterday.  They replaced it with a whole new unit as far as I can tell.  Took a little bit longer to get back to me then I would have liked (12 calendar days) but there were two weekends plus Labor day in there so I guess I'm not too upset about it.  It was in their hands from Aug 28 to Sep 2.
2. Spoke with VS and sending it back to have it looked at by their techs. Great customer service!!!

Yeah, it sounds like those 2 are having trouble making a solid connection.  I spoke with their tech support a few minutes ago and made them aware.

The problem really resides in the lack of a standard for 510.

  3. Brandon thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure it's due to the deep 510 center pin. I have the same build on my Petri and Origenny but those seems to be read at the proper resistance. Only my velocity and marquis are giving me problems but when I put it on my opus and Hana it doesn't give me any problems. When I put the velocity and marquis in the atty analyzer, it gives me higher than normal resistances or sometimes an error message.

  4. Great mod but having two problems with this device in TC mode.
First problem is that when I press the fire button it sometimes doesn't produce any vape. I have a nickel clapton reading at .07ohms at 450F @70W and randomly when I press the fire button the screen says 800F at .01W. I put the same atty on my opus200 and hanamodz v200 and it works perfectly fine. If anyone has had the same issues and know what the problem is that would be great to know.

The next problem is that in TC, the device is not reading the resistance correctly. The same build from above would always ask me if it's a new coil at .15 ohms. While I vape the resistance reading keeps increasing to .10,.13 and .15. I think it's ground issues with the 510 connection. I know it's not my builds bc when I put the same atty on my Opus200 and Hanamodz V200, it reads properly at .07ohm and it never fluctuates.

Does anyone else who has a VS DNA200 see that their board was customized in Rhode Island?

  5. I was talking to Roger at Opus and he is stating that the fuses is because of Evolve's chip. He states that it's not Opus's problem as they only put a case on it. So I'm not sure who is to blame for all these faulty incidents.

  6. lol Opus got some real shitty customer service. I don't really care about the $6 but its all about the principle. They are distributing defective items on the market, so why are consumers who paid $230 having to pay for S/H for their shitty quality control or lack of. I had a nickel that got jacked up in a day. I will never be purchasing from Opus ever again after this incident! This is getting blasted and good thing I purchased with AMEX. I mean the whole vape industry needs to work on their quality control!

Mike there are about 450 Hanas in customer hands at last count, so I'd guess most of them are working okay. Hana assures us that every time they make a batch they're taking the feedback from the previous batches and making improvements, so I'd imagine they have the screen cable issue handled by now.

Yea, my Hana is still good with no issues. Knock on wood. Can you tell me why the same atty with a nickel build is showing different ohms level on my hana and opus? Hana reads it at .07 while the Opus reads is at .08 but both are using the same chip. I don't get it.
Mod build variances (510 specifically). As long as it isn't more than .01? you should be fine. I've had builds that were .115? show up as .11? or .12? on various DNA40 and DNA200 mods.
Aite good to know. Thanks

Temp protected message means it is throttling the wattage to keep the temperature under control. It isn't an error message.

That said, you can turn it off. Go into Escribe, on the Theme tab, next to the Temperature Protected message, you can change it to "Don't show"

When you change it to "Don't show" does that mean it is turned off or does it still operate TP but doesn't display the message?
