thanks guys for all the help. I am going to let hana take care of this one and send it back.

ok well i tried loosening the bottom screw with no luck, so i loosened all three screws just to see, and no luck. has any one ever heard of the on board tac switches failing? or is there any way that the switch could be shorting out? i hate to send it back after just getting the screen fixed, but may be my only option. thanks folks

tried pulling the battery and giving the down button some room and it did nothing. might there be a way to disable the on board buttons in escribe?

ok so here is the deal, I have a Hana v200 sent it in for a screen ribbon pinch, now the down button is being pressed at all times. Tried updating the firmware with no luck anyone else having this problem? or any ideas on what maybe causing this would be a great help.
