  1. I look at it a simpler way because I honestly don't really understand half of the technical stuff Jaquith is coming out with (but I completely respect his opinion and knowledge) , I think TC is just super sensitive , the resistance changes your dealing with are tiny and until there is some kind of actual temp sensor within an atty or at or near a coil temp control is going to remain flaky at best.
I build my TC coils super anal , make absolutely sure it is as perfect as possible , make double and triple sure its tightened and seated correctly as well as the wicking has to be "just right" and if its not perfect do it again and again until its perfect , that's includes the subtank builds on my ladys reuleaux and the dual coil crius and velocity builds on mine , its a miniscule difference in a coil that makes a huge difference to the vape , I even inspect the coil with a jewellers loupe for gods sake lol.
Using kanthal on any of those attys with claptons or spaced coils or touching coils or parallels you can literally just throw it together in seconds , stick cotton in there virtually any old way and off you go but you don't get the lovely consistent heat , flavour and vapour you like EVERYTIME like you do with TC when you get it right.
All I'm saying basically is I've found that patience pays off with TC and I've had no anaemic vapes with single or dual coils using 24g Ti when I take my time and make sure it's as perfect as possible especially with dual coils.
    Don't like Ni200 , funny flavour.

  2. Hi skineedog

I've found using a diff profile for different atomisers/tanks even if their very close in resistance seems to work for me.
I.E. Profile 1 called subtank profile 2 called Smok etc etc and set each up , if you just swap out a tank for another and the resistance is so close it may not ask "New Coil?"
In which case it doesn't seem to work right for the the next tank fitted , I can't necessarily explain it but it works fine for me doing it that way and its mere seconds to switch profiles.
As for steam engine , I don't know what wire your using , I'm assuming Ti or SS but I found the Steam engine .csv not so great for my Ti wire and used Sweet Spots own .csv and its worked flawlessly ever since.
    Hope that helps you somewhat.

  3. So I was trolling through Gearbest this morning and bumped into this , the Thinkvape Dna 200 at £78 , that is super cheap even if it is a bit blergh looking and a wrongly advertised 4500mah battery lol
Anyone looking for a cheap DNA 200 this may be the way to go ?
Not sure if I can post links so just search you'll find it

  4. Hi Jalcide

I think I kind of know what you mean , my GF has a little subox mini with a subtank on it which she uses a .5 ohm Clapton in the RBA which vapes great at around 25-28 watts , I know its not a super lean mean all singing mega accurate mod but vaped in power mode on my reuleaux it is most definitely a very quick ramp up and warmer vape than on the subox at identical watts.
I can't explain it but I have to lower it to around 22 watts to get a similar vape.
Anyway , no explanation but thought I'd share that I've had a similar experience to yourself.

    regards

  5. Hi all

My first post here , just entered the world of DNA 200 with the reuleaux , got to say I'm loving it.
Got it from TW for £127 with 3x VTC4's on black Friday , bargain I think.
Anyway , used it the first day with just regular kanthal claptons in both my subtank mini and my velocity(which is outstanding with the dual claptons).
Some Ti wire arrived today from CWC and I thought I'd just share my experiences with it so far.
Started off setting the reuleaux up with wismecs .ecig file , then went to steam engine and created a .csv for my wire just starting with a simple single spaced coil in my subtank mini of .16ohms with no dry burning.
Set a profile up for the 24g Ti and loaded the .csv , set the watts at a conservative 75w with a preheat of 100w and 450f temp setting.
I am absolutely amazed how well this vapes for a first run at temp control for myself , the vape is nice and warm and really really smooth with again just a simple high VG 3mg raspberry from Flavourart , it produces almost as much vapour as the Clapton and tastes fantastic without the varying temp depending whether the coil is warm or been sat for a while.
So that's it , just thought I'd put a positive post up about temp control and Ti wire as there seems to be few of those on here.
Its that good my partner has asked me to get her one but TW is no longer stocking them as they have now taken stock of the RX200 with Joyetechs chip.
The lady on the phone said "It's just a different chip , it does the same as the other one only cheaper"
"Hmmm" was my reply , "I'll wait till stock comes in elsewhere"
    LOL
