Cleaned with alcohol still nothing, says device is connected and am able to use device monitor but nothing else

So i picked up a used lavabox from a buddy of mine that got another mod, as far as i know it has never been updated, i am unable to fire above 100w and unable to update using escribe, i keep getting changing errors of "unable to get serial number" device unresponsive and eeprom read failed. Help
