"USB port was disconnected" is not a box problem as i have seen it happening on several different devices (I have a SMY75 and some friends a HCigar75) - it looks more like an evolv/escribe problem.
This issue is quite common with windows 7 and XP while it doesn't usually happen with win 8 and over.
