The one thing I will add make sure you save a file /backup to your pc from your mod before you start the board has a setup stored on it .for your mod .using device monitor on pc gives you a lot of info
-
It will not reset if you remove the batterys it will not reset if you take the board out and install in another device I am not sure I understand what you want the board to do I know in research mode you can set it up to shut down after so many puffs and it will not come back on till linked to pc and key used to unlock the board not too many things the board can not be set up to do

You sure can but it will show it has been reset

I want to take a moment to thank Evolv, James, The people who helped come out with escribe and Brandon for the Dna boards. In January 2016 I got my first Dna device. I got tired of burning up foreign mods and didn"t want to go back to stinky's. I had my failures Dna with the 200 and one dna 250. I believe this firm wear is spot on. Please note the amount of puffs and amps being used to produce the vape I like and it keeps on ticking. On top of that I service a few other Dna 200's not one failure since the SP2 5 it is absolutely trouble free. I almost forgot thank you Nick. for sending me this board in NOV

The one thing I want to mention on the DNA 250 if everything is set up properly you will notice and see 100/118 degrees Fahrenheit for temperature I pay more attention to that than anything else first give away something wrong is a board it's 90 degrees or 80 degrees when charging. just not my experience to see one run that cold when charging if they're right I could be wrong on this

I run in to the same problem I run battery analyzer through the DNA 250 got the proper figures problem solvedChunkyButt200 said:14% of 28.05 watt hours is 3.927 watt hours. that is very close to your remaining 3.814 charge estimate in device monitor, so that seems correct. can't say why at 3.63v it doesn't reflect 35.8%. however, 14% sounds more accurate than 35.8%, looking at your charge estimate. i'm not even positive if my math is correct.

the DNA 250 will charge from .75 amps to 1.3 amps linked to pc depending on the output of the PC and the cord you use the DNA 250 will charge the worst of seen as .75 /2 amps depending on the cord and the charger you are using go into your setup and have it show the amperage charging when charging it takes all the guesswork out of it trust me when I tell you I went through a lot of chargers and cords that would not perform on my DNA 250 even though a lot of them said Heavy Duty 2 amp charger they wouldn't even charge .75. Got to remember them Chinese have a bad habit of making it say something not trueVapingBad said:It should go back up to 1.9 A if you click disconnect in EScribe, it is just a limit while there is data on the lines.

I know that felling Nick has taken good care of my problems. I used the up date from 02/2016 and all the mods I work on seamd to be pretty good then when the early release started to come I was going throug boards faster than cotton DNA 200 got a couple DNA 250 to try one failed right off the get go .never did find out why on three cell using SP 5. that was the last and only problem I had with DNA 200 or the DNA 250 they are all working great .with SP. 5 hard to believe 5 months ago I was ready to go back to a mec mod .but I am hooked on temperature control and the Evolv boards and the fact they have customer service second to none .EDMKEV said:Ya ever since ive read these issues i havnt done anything with my reuleaux or my VT167..i just dont wanna take a chance untill we get some more info on whats going on exactly before i update anything on either mod. Hopefully this will shed some light on the issues.

just checking 5.2 volts on cell 2 or pack should be max 4.2 per cell no less than 3.2 with pack between 6.5 and 8 volts using two 18650 edit or two cellolegasan said:I have same problem with Therion DNA166 from box. I have inserted batteries and see blinking logo Lost Vape when push the fire bottom. If I press bottom longer the second I see «check battery» and logo of empty battery. Installing SP5, restoring defaults, using another part of batteries does not help. If I try to do hard or soft reset in Escribe it says «Hard/soft reboot command issued» and nothing happen. Device Monitor in Escribe shows in Cell 1: 0,01V, in Cell 2: 5,20V.
I donât know what to do. Please help.

Ops I understand screen shot of device montor can shed light on a problem some times

That's strange I have not seen a DNA/ 200 or 250 read cells off using escrib unless I have faulty cell or bad faulty connection if the voltage were it goes in to the board reading dose not match Escrib reading I would request return authorization
-
What do your cells read voltage using volt meter the soft cell cut off should be around 3.02 I believe I would check that first DNA SHOULD NOT fire under 3 volts per cell

Yes what Retird said as some of you know I have had some problems with boards DNA 200 well I got to agree with above post lattest up date is the only way to go. I received a couple DNA 250 to try in my Opus Mods one gave me problems right off the get go running cells down to low and was replaced .well that was the beginning of a new and so far BIG game changer my Opus and the DNA 250 is the best thing since sliced bread the charging is fast and my Lipo cells stay even I raised my soft cell cut off and using sp 5 no problems at all .I use my Mod a lot and in a wide range of conditions hot cold. I do keep a eye on temperature not so much for the board but I do not like my Lipo getting to warm above 120 D F I believe the charger starts cutting back at 130 degrees Fahrenheit wish I could lower that but the DNA 250 is a very good board and so is the. Operating systemretird said:Your SP5 firmware is almost the latest SP so I would use it for now and go ahead and do your custom screens. You are concerned that SP5a on the device may cause you issues so why not use the device for a while first. The SP5a pack addresses the following of which you may not have issues with anyway:
On the device side:
- DNA 200 and DNA 250 no longer lose the battery meter on startup sometimes.
- Calibration values have been improved slightly for newer DNA 200s and DNA 250s. (More accurate USB Voltage, mainly.)
- Temperature Protected and other messages now show the correct number of flashes again.
- Some VaporShark DNA 200s would reset charging when above 0.8A with 1.2 SP3 and 1.2 SP4. They now charge at full speed. -
My 10 cents worth it's not allwas a loose connection some of RTA on the market now can not read ohms properly at all .know your build if it fails to match up . I learned if a build of .08 reads .1 I don't even wast my time or if the 510 pin on the RTA floats forget it .08 .09 makes big difference. So if your .1 build is reading .13 and you have checked everything try a different RTA .I use wire profile from evolv TI on my DNA 250 /200 and they work great.I build for friends and there are well knowing RTA That I will not touch my two favorite are Boreas and the Griffin I am sure there are many more

I use temp a lot on 200 and 250 your ohms are all over the place your build is .o6 and according to what you post I see readings from .1?? To over .2?? I use titanium myself have my point 09 build jumps over point one I won't even fire it waste of time I could be way off here but just what I see I might also suggest click on the yellow current see how many amps your throwing
