Re my VapeDroid C2d1 with same problem. -VapeDroid support thinks it is a hw issue -Creme de vape has sent rma details -Sbody has requested video serial# and address for sending out a replacement ... Waiting for Sbody to confirm replacement, otherwise I am sending it back to creme de vape ...

the original poster has a mod with the same exact problem rma'd on the way to evolv ... since I am from europe I would love to avoid shipping it back and forth.

4.05V on the batteries, I have also had batteries at 3.7V in it, no difference ...

My vapedroid c2d1 also just bricked by sp5.2, updated a week ago.
So what should I do, I suppose you dont want all affected devices rma'd to you? Especially as it hopefully is a sw problem ...

noticed problem after taking of charger (2A capable)
changed to known good batteries, checked on a dna200
hard reset
soft reset
reflash sw
restore defaults
device monitor shows
- 5.05v on batt2 with both batteries present
- 2.78v on batt2 with right battery only
- 2.26v on batt2 with left battery only
without usb it shows bootlogo1 (sbody) while pressing fire, otherwise dead.
so?

Yes exactly, I would take it apart and check connections to the board if it wasn't under warranty - i think it is either a cable or board issue by now ...
