In regards to the Wh battery level.

    I am using the HG2 X3 @ 28.3wh kindly provided by giz_60.

i have been charging this on my PC with device monitor open, was expecting it to stop charging once it hit the 28.3Wh but its been still charging for another 30min.

I increased to Wh to 29Wh, it's now charged to the 29Wh and is still charging.

Does this mean the Wh capacity is greater that what i have entered? should i keep increasing it?
  2. Hello fellow vapers

Question about the MOD/CASE resistance test in eScribe. (I'm using a TRIADE DNA250)

I watched the tutorial video in this forum about setting up eScribe and did the case resistance test last night, by default it was 0.004 , so i set it to 0 and then ran the test overnight, saw it was finished and blindly (half asleep) clicked accept thinking it would fill in the resistance for me. It did not, was it supposed to? or was the figure listed in the test results?

I've punched in 0.004 again and will try again tonight, am I missing a step?

Sounds like the mod is, for some reason, dropping out ot TC mode into power mode..if those are contact coils, that could be an issue...can you post a few screenshots...Device Monitor while firing with the following checked...Power, Power Set, Temperature, Temperature Set, Cold Ohms, Live Ohms...also one of the 'Mod' tab...if those are contact coils, that could be an issue..

I found some standard wire left over in my toolkit which i made into some spaced coils and headed out last night. (forgot to run the aliens in device monitor etc as you mentioned... was desperate for a working vape last night :P )

Vaping all night and not one issue in TC mode with the spaced SS coils. I guess proves your point these alien SS contact coils are got are not gonna be TC friendly :(

I'll try get that done tonight... but when you say contact coils could be a problem? am i supposed to be suing spaced coils only for TC mode? see from the fast tech website the coils i'm using below.5573802-1.jpg
  5. So I only been vaping in TC mode, MKWS SS316L Alien pre coiled from Fasttech (dual @ 0.15Ohms)

lately the triade will spaz out and fire the coils like crazy like im running the full 250w into it and the last temp on the screen will show it has not even hit 100c, sometime it doesn't even get over 50 cause is smoking like a MOFO. the temp build up on the screen (right side) will sometimes climb up to 4000C... WTF?

now i have checked and nothing is touching or shorting on the RDA. i have the rashomon RDA and Goon RDA both with the same coils, when it spazes out i immediately swap to the other RDA and it does the same thing.

i switch between power and tc mode to fix it or sometimes when it cools off it goes back to normal...

any ideas what it could be? are the coils dodgy? i am waiting on my coil variety pack and standard SS wire to arrive in the mail so i can't compare with diff coils as yet.

    any ideas?

  6. Hi

Been tweaking my setup and now I've seen people adjusting their battery capacity Wh in eScribe.

    I am on a Triade 250, the default battery capacity is 25.68wh and i am using 3x HG3 3000mh 18650 batteries.

Is this a good average setting or do i need to set it higher or lower? (is there a calculation? didn't see anything on steam engine)

also i am planning to get spare VTC6 x3, would the 25.68Wh be used with these batteries as well?

A lot depends on the quality of wire as well..I have had some that worked better on the 316 curve..some on the 316L curve & some that even worked better on the 304 curve. The beauty of the DNA devices is the ability to fine tune it to ones preferences!!!

Fair enough, I've only been using GeekVape & VaporTech coils, I'm assuming they are half decent quality. Personally I found the 316L profile more accurate :)
  8. Also, should he not install the SS316L material? I also have the Triade250 and it only came with the SS316 material, not the SS316L.

I was playing around with the 2 materials on different profiles using SS316L coils. the non "L" seem to run 20-40C hotter than what the screen read.

coming from the DNA75 and only using SS316L coils, the 250 is epicly accurate and awesome to vape on, provided the correct material is used.

  9. Hi

just got into vaping the last 3 months.

I could not find exactly an answer to my question on the forums... hope i'm not repeating.

I have been using TC mode on my micro and spaced SS316L coils, been going like a treat.

I have now ventured out and bought some clapton, Juggernaut, Alien and Tiger coils. All are made with SS316L.

I prefer to only vape in TC mode.

Question is, will i need to change the materials in eScribe with a custom? Theoretically they should still work with the SS316L material selected???

If i do need to get custom, any recommendations? I looked at steam engine but got a bit dizzy.

    thanks again for your help!
