I own several non-DNA devices & was tired of the constant pulsing when in TC mode. Some more than others. I now own several DNA devices & use SS 316L almost exclusively. Absolutely enjoy the vape experience. Non-DNA devices are more a one size fits all kind of thing & the DNA devices have to be fined tuned to ones own personal preferences. What works for one person will probably not work for another. There is a learning curve to using the DNA. There is a lot of great info here on the forum that will answer a lot of your question & help to point you in the right direction!!

Exactly. Well said. It took me about 1-2 weeks to get it right for all my atomizers. Would not go back to a generic device anymore. Thanks.

Today I have bought a Therion 166 with DNA250 chip on it. I was using a non DNA device and I could use preheat (set to a certain watt for certain time) and had no problems with a Kanthal.

Just to use Temperature mode I have spent lots of money for a DNA device and I can not use Temp, mode on it >:( Also I can not use preheat function too!!!!!!! I am totally disappointed with DNA device. It is worthless with a Kanthal wire.. I have tried everything and it not working..... My ressistance is constant so I am sure problem is not with the atomizer or resistance..

At least tell me how to use preheat function please I need support in here :(

You can use à SS wire that can be used in both watt and TC. Kanthal is not a TC wire. You can setup preheat as explained further below in another thread I just answered. There is a philosophy behind a DNA chip which explains why there is not a preheat functionality in the chip. If you search through the forum there is a thread talking about this. The DNA is a great chip, surely the best on the market that renders great flavour better than any other chip I have used (subjective statement based on my personal taste). Mind you, yihi chip I have not tried but only tested the TC on it from a friend and I do not like the "pulsing" it created while firing in TC mode. HTH, Joel.
  3. You will need to manually tweak the resistance until it works. To do so, you will also need to lock the resistance. You do this while your device is connected to escribe software. Example, my resistance is showing 0.23. I will then try 0.20, 21, 22 etc until it works. You can also start with 0.24, .25, etc. Read the whole thread, it contains all you need to get this working. HTH, Joel.

I've tried it and it's not working :( My decice is on SP5 firmware does it affect it? Please help me to activate preheat somehow :(

  4. Did some quick research and it seems that the DNA200 may have some issues in TC mode with builds under .05 ohms in TC mode especially(perhaps only) in NI200. Hence, the vape is waaaaayyyy smoother and on par when you lock ohms. My SS316L is 0.53 ohms and I get excellent vape locked or not. On the .23 ohms NI200 hrakles, it needs to be locked around .28 for a good vape - so I ageee with arby.

  5. For an unknown reason, when I attach the tank ( Heracles sense NI200) to my mod,'0.27 ohms is detected. After several vapes, ten or so, the ohm drops to 0.23 (mod seems to turn on) and then there is no way to get a satisfactory vapor, exactly what brought me to advise aabbas to lock the resistance.

  6. Ok. I have unlocked my serpent mini with a SS316L at 0.52 and she's vaping great!!! I usually get issues when vaping on a 0.2 ohm Heracles sense NI200 coil. Usually reading at .32 when new and moving towards 0.23 as it gets used. I will give it a shot later tonight and report back.

  7. I'm using a DNA200 on a Triade. Looking around this seems to be a must practice to lock the OHMS in cold when using Temp Control. All the vids I have seen from Rip Tripper, VapnFagan, Mike Vapes, indoor smokers, etc... they all lock the resistance when vaping in temperature control. Anyway, it does not work when not locked. Technically, not sure why it must be done, but it must be done.

    Thanks,
    Joel.
