This is a known problem that has been previously reported,
Happened to me, and I RMA'd the board
and 2S is perfect for me and powerful enough for most -
I'd imagine they're a bit busy at the moment, DNA60 time
-
I'm wondering why anybody still uses NI200 wire, it's a not ready for prime time coil material, , too unreliable, I haven't used it for a couple of yrears
-
I think it's time for the 250 to have its own category, these differences would be so much better enunciated
-
BTW, is that noted anywhere in the docs and I missed it?
-
Ahhhhhhhhh, so I'm not crazy
Thanks dw -
Just got the DNA250, and like all DNAs, first thing I do is put the screen on (no batteries), plug it into the USB, and test display and eScribe connection.
The board connects to eScribe fine, but no display.
I have a few DNA200s so I swapped the screens, and it works in the 200, but not the 250.
I can change the power up and down and it registers on the device monitor, so I think the board is fine
Is the DNA250 different then the 75, 200 and 60, requiring batteries to power the screen or do I have a defective board? -
Nick, we have much work to be done to get mods ready for the new chip,
Can you please publish the USB board CAD,
Thanks -
That's great James, glad to hear,

All I can say is bout time Evolv

Make very sure there isn't a single strand of wire from one connector port touching the other wire or port
-
Aren't those leads Nichrome 80, not NI200?
-
The fact the fuse blew in the first place is a problem, it wouldn't be up to Evolv to fix the device, just replace the fuse on the board, so you're back to the original problem.
To me, it sounds like you have a wiring problem, happened to me, so I re-wired everything but the 510 -
Are you saying you sent it to Evolv to repair a blown fuse, and this is how they returned back to you? What caused the blown fuse?
-
The Max Current settings should be used to limit low amperage batteries from reaching board input levels, they obviously can't be set to anything higher then the board limit of 24 amps

Very Cool idea turbo, genius

HID tunneled serial will work fine on the MAC

John is not speaking to OSX, but to Wine, which is the Win32 abstract layer for other operating systems, another words running windows programs on OSX or Linux using Wine as opposed to using a vitrual machine like VMware to run the full windows OS as a guest on other operating systems.
And guess what happens when you plug a standard Keyboard or mouse into a MAC?
A hint buddy, and not trying to be difficult, but you really need to actually know of what you speak before providing guidance, -

IIRC the delay is because they had/have not been able to source a USB HID driver to be able to interface with the board, it is not as simple as it appears.
........
You're kidding me, right? Funny that every phone manufacturer uses one -
Isn't it amazing what people with waaaaaay too much time on their hands think about?

There isn't a mac version of the software, read this thread from the beginning for the different options for running windows on the Mac, and running this

Contact Evolv, but to be honest, ZIF sockets are a pretty standard fare, all I've ever worked with have a bar / tab that can be lifted up to remove the cable, and then pressed down to lock the cable in the socket,
Evolv datasheet has detail instruction with pics for how to do this -
It appears one of your balancing charge wires on the battery contacts has come loose, pretty easy to fix if you have a soldering iron, I've actually replaced mine, it was pretty easy

Going Agile, cool

Looks like you have a battery connection problem on the mod
