  1. Sorry to hear you're having that issue, I know what it's like to not have a DNA device around for awhile (heh, bought a Smok G150 during my down time and sadly was not happy). However, I wonder if what ChunkyButt200 mentioned could be the cause? Hopefully that's the last lipo pack you will need once it returns from Evolv. :)

  2. Just to add my 2 cents, Evolv is a great place for support when manufacturers don't really offer any assistance. Nick was kind enough to send me a replacement board back in the day for my Lavabox when it quit after a few weeks of use. As for the VapeCige VTBox250, the only issue I encountered so far was the display cable getting caught behind the fire button and going wonky (happened to most DNA mods I owned beside the VaporShark which has a long display cable as it is at the bottom of the device). Anyways, I ordered a new screen but I also opened it up and did my best to slide the current display cable out of the way of the fire button and everything works well so far (knock on wood). As for the cell issue, it is a bummer, but if it happens to more than one LiPo pack send it in and have Evolv take a look at it. Cheers!

Thanks for the extra ideas, sorry it took so long to get back to this I recently upgraded my mod to another DNA 250 but I've just been way to busy with work to even think about or having time to continue with the project.

No problem buddy, I know how it can be. In that time I've grabbed another DNA 250 mod with a third one inbound lol. I just can't go back to non LiPo DNA mods.

There are no editing of posts here.  Stainless, especially the 316 and 317 is challenging.  What most folks are finding is essential:
    Solid connection
    Solid atomizer
    Dialed in mod resistance

This gives the mod the best chance of seeing the small TRC range of the coil.

The dialled in mod resistance works!

Sounds like the fire button it touching, maybe even crushing, the screen cable.  If it is out of warranty or you want to fix yourself you may be able to bend the cable to not touch the button or put a bit of plastic between them.  I use the clear plastic used for blister packs that so many things come in these days, cheap, plentiful and easy to cut.  You could put EScribe in to debug mod by opening the Help-About page and clicking the Evolv logo 7 times, then you will see a Screen Disconnects value in Device monitor, if that's much great er than 0 this is your issue.

Same issue I've been having for a few months with my Lavabox, changed the screen 3 times and even the board, screen still ended up blank. Now that I know the issue I may order 2 more screens: one for the Lavabox and one for the spare board and sell them both.

  6. It looks pretty decent and as I'm currently playing Fallout 4 I'd love to try it out (once my new DNA 250 arrives). Suggestions include: using the mysterious stranger in VATS mode as an indication for stealth mode, different character images for different coil/wire modes (raider for stainless steel, ghoul and supergiant etc). Keep it coming, let's see what you've got. :)

  7. I have a similar issue but I purchased a Lavabox sealed on Ebay from a reseller. The mod came brand new but just today while using it the screen flickered and it went out. Only powers on when plugged in and although my pack voltage isn't at zero it won't recognize any attys. Contacted Evolv and will try to ship it out this week and get the board repaired or replaced.
