EScribe Suite SP8 includes DNA 75 Color SP27. It doesn't include any new Service Packs for monochrome DNAs as yet.

Technically Preheat is impossible on Kanthal coils. It requires knowing temperatures, and operates under temperature protection. If resistances read correctly, Preheat should be safe.

DNA 75 Color SP27 does include a Boost feature (International Edition only) which, if enabled, performs a similar function on Kanthal coils. I will be curious to see how well it works for people.

Own 2 75's, but none of them is colour :D
I understand that there is no way to know temperature on kanthal coils, but technically would not be possible to apply X% more watts for Y seconds disregarding temperature? I'm not a coder, but seems quite easy to achieve for a company that is so ahead in vaping technology...

  2. Personally i understand the concerning behind Evolv's decision to date of not enabling preheat in kanthal coils... For the "non advanced" user can bring some dry hits, but what if it could be turned on by ticking a box that explains the "danger" of that option, stating that it is intended just for the "advanced" user?
It could be a solution for the 75, 200 and 250 boards. With so many users asking for it, i think it should be done...
(Personally i've been more with SS, but i continue to see that as an useful option)
Also i leave the suggestion to create an option where we can hide profiles we dont need to use. Let's say i'm just using 3 profiles, the others could be hide in the device. When needed, just connect escribe and tick a box to "un-hide" :D

Also a question: No new firmwares for devices? Or we need download them separately? (75, 200)
I Installed SP8 and for my 75, for example, last firmware is from 2016. Is that correct? (Sorry, been a bit "away" from the forum, but still a proud and happy daily DNA user)

Removed by administration ,  sorry yoesff

    [/QUOTE]
Why was it removed? A bit too much danger? :D

Worked for me, however i understand that best (and safest) solution is buy new battery

Shared with best intention in mind, but understand that safety comes first ;)
It had too much of a chance for someone to do it wrong....Murphy's Law, if it can happen it will happen.
So yes it was removed as looking a bit risky.

Hello. I'm having the same problem. Did you cut already the plastic? Is it safe to do it?
    Thank you...

Didn't cut it yet. It seems that by using it, the problem has been smaller each day. :)

Also many times i charge batteries inside it, so i didn't bother to do it.

About safety... As long as you don't reverse any of the batteries, seems ok to me

  5. That VT75 nano has also that screw in the bottom? (Think they call it cathode or some thing like that)

I remember VT75 had some weird problems with that

Also what is the value you have in "Mod Resistance"? (escribe)

I would clean everything very well, and would use a "shortcircuiter" tool in order to get the right mod resistance.

You can look around in forum in how to get something like that, or you can DIY. Did mine with a plume veil base and a brass screw to have that good short circuit and discover each device's resistance.

Hope you find solution for that

  6. It's like that - Some worst than others

It's on my to-do list to disassemble and cut a bit of that plastic - but then we must be extremely cautious to put battery on exact orientation.

Right now i'm charging batteries in the mod as i have other DNA's to use and it actually charges faster than my external charger.

Other than that it is a great mod.

Your SS profiles are right? Mine came with wrong profiles, but that's easy to solve.

  7. I dont know. Mine has the the following numbers in the case: 10/15/15

But i am from Portugal, and sending device to VS , and then getting it back will have some risk of it falling in customs and i could have to pay taxes as if it would be a new one... Must think very well about it

I believe that between sending and getting a rebuilt one, will pass more than a month. Besides that the postage expenses would be on me, no? A new DNA250 board may be the solution on the near future, for a few more dollars and a polished case would be nice
    Let's see how it goes.
    :D

  8. Last night i decided to run Case Analyzer on my Therion, and after doing it, the numbers were different, but to be honest i am not 100% sure of what the differences will be "in the real life"
In the beginning of the test escribe asked me what was the ambient temperature and i did put the temperature that my phone sensor (samsung S5) had. The phone was not being used for a while, so i believe that temperature was quite accurate.

After more or less 4 hours test was finished and i applied the new values.
Now i see that room temperature while using the therion is about 10F more than my phone says (In Device Monitor).

Is there any problem? And what is the advantages of having that test done on all the DNA's?

I noted that escribe did charged the therion at 0.40A Is that the standart charge for the test?

Later i will let here both the old numbers and new numbers for the experts to analise it :)

Ready to learn more DNA stuff, cause you never know enough :D

  9. The skin is coming out, so i thought it could be cool if i did polish it the best i could to give him the closest i can to a mirror finish.
Did anyone accomplished that? I think it is anodized under that rubber finish, so first step would be de-anodize it, right?

Right now is just an idea, but... Maybe i will try it one of these days :D

I just wanted to keep everyone posted on this for those who are interested. I ordered another Vaporshark Vaporflask DNA 133 over the weekend. I emailed Vaporshark repeatedly asked if the shark flask 133 would safely accept the SP3 firmware without causing any issues. I was assured it could upgraded by the end user to SP3. For the record here is the email I received today. (I asked if they could upgrade the device for me and test it before sending it out, they could/would not)

In my opinion, it should be on their best interest to do themselves the upgrade.
That way they would be sure about the conditions upgrade was done, if it really works well, and would potencially avoid the situation of getting it back a few days later "just because" it was bricked.

Also they would be 200% sure to give advice next time other client asks about it.

But... That's just my opinion and i cannot say anything bad about VS service. Already have a few VS changed without any questions. :D
The last one I have has just a little issue with fire button. They do not seem to last too much on the VS's. Has been a long time it lost the "clickyness". But always fire without problems.
Maybe it will get a DNA 250 board in the future :)

I'm not trying to knock your device and this has nothing to do with your question but I just want to say I'm glad that I tried one of these devices out in person because it looks beautiful and so solid in the pictures and then when you feel it in your hand the buttons are mushy they don't line up well stick a little bit in some instances. Compared to the hcigar vt75 it feels so much less solid and that's not saying much considering its cigar doesn't put out the best devices in the world. All I know is that I put that money towards something else. The DNA 75 was not designed for two batteries otherwise it would have reverse polarity protection built-in. And when I saw the size of it it just made me wonder why would I have a device that size but I can get a hundred thirty-three or 200 Watts out of it.. It's a really good looking device in the pictures when you feel in person he really has a cheap plastic feel. I'm not surprised that DNA chip is not charging / discharging your cells evenly. And one brain fart you insert your batteries backwards and boom your device is dead. Good luck with everything I'm only writing this for anyone considering purchasing one that it definitely does not feel as good as it looks. You're great at taking fancy pictures

Sorry, but i disagree with your points. I own one therion, and the device is solid, not seeming "cheap" in any way. The only complain i have from it is the reverse battery protection that is not good, but i will correct it soon.
In regard to size, with 2 18650 i suppose its hard to do it much smaller.
Maybe you did put your hands on a clone or a not so good unit? Mine has been flawless.
  12. One of mine first post here!
That was a good digging :)

After some months using DNA devices, i found that best charging solution is changing batteries and / or having several DNA devices (second option being better)

QI charging is nice, but to be usable on a mod should be in a way that the device charges standing up and at least at 1A (better 2A)

Anyway, I would like to give you a nice award : The great Golden Shovel :D

What DNA device(s) you have, Keventory?

Done! thnx again mate. i also noticed that when i go to materials the preset wires: ss316L, ss30,4 Ni200 and ss430 all have the same graph. i assume that is wrong? to set up a new material i simply put my wire on steamengine download the csv and use that right??

At least at my therion also the profiles came wrong and 316 wasn't working in temp mode. It's my second lost vape device and i was expecting a bit better quality control, but overall they seem to be good devices.

My recommendation would be to get all the csv from steam engine and / or other good sources, like here in the forum.

What materials you use more for coils?

Probably you will have mod resistance set to 0 also. Mine did read 0.004 with proper tool, so maybe yours will not be far from that.
