Hello everyone, New to dna devices and squonking in general but I bought this expensive Boxer dna75 and Im just learning it aside from everything being wonderful and me loving it I get the check battery warning at 65% and below at 55 watts now im using a single Ijoy 3000mah 3.7v 20700 and Ive seen numerous issues with this on here after searching for a fix with this one but never really got anywhere I was thinking it could just be the mod but why sell such an expensive mod that can only last 15 big puffs before its at 65% and weak battery? I will post my diagnostics when the weak battery warning pops up and will come back to do a screenshot of the full charge here is a list of suggestions I tried to fix this -

-changed soft cell from 2.75 to 2.50 - this seemed to function the best but at 60% got the warning today again

-made sure I checked multiple 20700s from shops so its not just my battery that does it

-bent the + tab a bit to make sure it had a solid connection

-updated all software and firmware out of the box

It also asks if I want to use new setting for the resistance every time I start it back up from charging the battery the date and time also change idk if that is anything but figured I should include it. Ive just been using it at 55 until the warning and charging again.

Now im brand new to this stuff so I may be the one in the wrong here but its so frustrating to pay this much and not have this work like it should I talked to retird and he said to make a post here honestly My Kaos mod with 2 18650s works 10x better and last 10x longer than this one but I wont deny that I really don't want to return it I hope its not the Mod itself. I even went as far as ordering ijoy 18650 adapters from Canada to see if that helped they wont be here for awhile though.

I appreciate the help guys none of the shops or people from my area are familiar with dna mods so its real hard to get answers to my concerns.

The fist picture is it firing with no battery warnings on 70%

the second is it firing when the warning starts popping up till eventually it stops firing.

From your screenshots it seems you are reaching the desired wattage and your atty seems to be putting out consistently at a valid ohm's rating, I'm not familiar with the ijoy 20700 battery but Mooch says  this about the ijoy (there are 2 versions of the battery and he rates one at 20 amps)... here is a link:  http://www.tasteyourjuice.com/wordpress/archives/16249

The only thing it seems to me is that your battery sag at @60% charge borders on the cell cut-off (seeing battery sag almost to cut-off).

There can be many reasons for what you are seeing.   Poor connection of the battery in the sled, the battery has lower amps than rated, poor wiring or cold solder joint, loose ground, and etc.  It's hard to troubleshoot a device without being able to have it in hand but these are some thing that can cause the battery sag.    You also could plug in a very good 18650 and see how it performs.

That's my best thoughts on your situation.  Others may chime in and assist you also.....

Really appreciate the help, I have emailed the retailer and gingervapes hopefully one will get back to me aside from using 18650s I can’t until my adapters get here from Canada and I’m in PA so but I do know the iJoys I have used are the mooch rated ones 5 prong not 4 now that I’m really getting down to biz this may be a case of a new user getting an advanced mod idk hope I can get to the bottom of it it’s hard to find boxer 75 owners to ask too

Should I check the voltage box and screenshot ?

I don't think so. Your second 'firing' in the last printscreen already showed 2.68v with a dip even lower. Usually, or in my case, at that wattage on a single battery DNA75, not color, I've seen around .6-.8 voltage drop, all depending (like retird) said on battery and connections.

I don't think the mod is too advanced for you at all. Especially not in wattage mode. By 'advanced' it has actually helped you/us to identify where the problem may lie, instead of just being blind.

Please keep us informed with your dealings with them.

Ok, so after talking to 3 different companies and you guys I got the retailer to answer and all they said was take a video lol

gingervaper has answered me and said this -

Yes, from that graph it is showing the sag on that battery is extremely great.  Your losing a full Volt (3.7 down to 2.68)

You can make sure the +/- contacts are expanded so that that battery is fitting tight, but the biggest culprit here is going to be the 0.12 ohms build….. its just way to low for a single battery.

I would strongly recommend a 0.4 - 0.60 single coil build with this chipset and squonking.   it’ll provide the best tastes and longest run times.

Now I actually built a single coil but all I had was the same .12 coils so resistance went from .12 to .24 this helps I vaped to 48% no warning so I’m assuming this problem was me and my build not DNA or the mod...hopefully because I really like this thing.

The guy at the local shop seemed surprised by what boxer suggested but again I’m new to it so I really wouldn’t know if this is not good info or not, anyway all this at the very least could help someone else new in the same situation as me do any of you think boxers suggestions are on point being as it is only the single battery? My original set up was .12ohm with alien Pre-Built coils after taking one out making it .24 the battery issue has improved greatly but the vapor flavor and production is lacking a lot so

i have the boxer squonk 75c and I have the efest 20700 3000mah batteries. I am running roughly .28 ohms? it seems to cut between .26 and .29? not sure if that's normal? but my battery still dies SUPER fast. someone told me that 3000mah was low. I look online and found some Panasonic 20700 and 21700 with 4000mah. I have heard the 21700 do not fit that well in the boxer squonk but have not personally tried it. but I am curious to try the Panasonic 20700 to see if I notice a difference in life of battery. I also am used to dual 18650's lasting me all day to now having this nice and expensive mod but only able to get like 3 hours of battery life.  I bought prebuilt fused Clapton coils that said .5 but when I installed it was what I'm getting now (.26-.29 ohms). please let me know if you go with a single coil around .5 ( what type of metal and gage wire you use/ and number of wraps) please let me know if this gives more battery life. I have heard that installing a new theme may help, but I have tried and still get the same thing.

hey as you can see I thought I was having major problems with this thing before, Now I love this mod, I would use the Ijoy 20700s 3000mah I know they are rewrapped but they were tested by mooch they are good batteries its only a single battery mod but i can vape down to 30% battery life before I decide to change and charge batteries, this is only depending on builds and how you vape though Im a chain vape kinda guy and I cycle through 3 batteries all day but more normally for me is 2 batteries a day. .28 ohms is too low of a build for the 75c Ideally you want a single coil at .40 - .60  I mean you can still vape dual coils but deff at a higher ohm then that or else your batteries will drain super quick even on Ijoys. Took me about two weeks messing around thinking it wasnt me and it was the mod before I got it to work like I wanted it to and its the best mod I own sorry for the ongoing response im at work, good luck

The resistance shouldn't make a noticeable difference to the battery life as it's a variable wattage board, as long as you are withing the range the board supports, think watts in - watts out.  It is the wattage that you need to keep an eye on and vaping at higher watts will cause you to hit the low power cut off earlier.  A poor connection in the atty could also account for hitting the low cut off early.  My 2 most used builds in DNAs are 0.05 ohm NI and 0.28 ohm SS316 and never noticed a difference in battery life as they are physically similar and run at the same power level.

So I have changed to a single could hate ohming out at around.68. The battery is definitely lasting a lot longer now. I’m still having trouble getting it to hit right. I have my watts at 35 and my temp at 420. Does anyone have a suggestion of where to put my watts and temp at that might be preferable? Using ss316 fused Clapton coil. Also was considering the ijoy 2100 battery to see how it does. Are they’re any pros or cons for the 20700 vs 21700 from I joy for this boxer 75c
