  1. I've been searching for days, trying to figure this out on my own but I can't seem to do it. I've been trying to get SS 316L to work in temp control and it seems to be very difficult. For instance, I will build coils (or use pre-made, I've tried both), and I aim to be somewhere around 0.4-0.5ohms. I lightly dry burn SS 316L at 10watts in a dark room and get all of the hot spots out. I then wick the coil and measure the cold resistance in Escribe. My most recent coil comes in at 0.4 @ 72° room temp, but when I vape the coil, the resistance also rises (I know SS 316L does this), but it will raise or lower from 0.39-0.45 and my mod can't seem to account for this variation correctly. Vapor production quickly declines and flavor mutes. I've tried countless different .csv's but none of them seem to fix the issue. In my most recent build, I will attempt to fire 0.4ohms at 40watts 475° but my mod will usually ask me if I connected a new atomizer at 0.43ohms. If I choose 'no, use old settings' then my vapor is basically non-existant. If I change the resistance to 0.43 then the temp control is all over the place and I will get dry hits. Any advice? Are my builds just crappy/inconsistent? Should I try a material that isn't SS 316L? I've tried spaced coils and they seem to work a bit better, but not by much. Do I need a different .csv? My atomizers are Gas Mods GR1 and B2K. Tha. nks! Edit: I've made sure that my lead connections are extra secure, that's not the problem.
  2. I'd like to know when I reach the right temperature.
  3. I am loving my Paranormal DNA 250C and can't wait to upgrade my Therion BF 75C but I have a problem. I have vaped in TC mode for a long time and normally like to run about 70 - 90W with a temp setting of 420F. In replay mode when first dripping the vape is way too hot and scalds my mouth and when checking diagnostics with a wattage set @ 65W it shows the temp is set for 450F. I am running 0.12 Ohm dual SS 316L Staggered Fused Clapton coils, 6 wraps in a 2.5 mm ID format with Kendo Gold wicks vaping Glas PBLS juice on a Pulse 24 RDA I have gone to the SS 316 screen and lowered the temp for that wire type to 420F and now have upped the wattage to 80W in replay and am getting a warm comfortable great hit. Loads of Clouds and First Class Flavour. However the diagnostics still shows the 'Replay' Temp at 450F. Am i doing something wrong or is it a bug in the software? as in title any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and keep 'Replaying' over and over........
  4. I just picked up a LV DNA75c Paranormal mod and have it paired with a gold Druga RDA, with a dual transformer .15 ohm build @ 70w. This morning, I was attempting to use the device 4 days owning it, no problems before at this point. I came across a strange issue, when Everytime I went to fire the mod, I would get "Temperature Protection" error Everytime zi attempted to fire. Even when mod was cold. I had the mod reread the coil build and noticed it was all over the place, read it once it reported .28, then .34, the .38, back down to .21 just all over the place. I had thought that one of my leads had come off, essentially making the dual build single @ .3 ohms. After further inspection of coils, and putting mod on ohm meter, it was still a very solid .15. perplexed, I looked at the mod & noticed some juice down in 510 pin area, since I drip. I cleaned it thouroughly, as well as bottom of RDA and threads. Now, 2hrs later, I have yet to see this error. I wanted to point this out if any of you Drippers out there get any juice run down into the 510 pin area, be sure to clean it out. This might save someone the hassle like I had of trying to troubleshoot, thinking it's a much bigger problem. Have a good one, it's a frigid 14° F here in Ohio today, keep it cloudy friends!
  5. Does anyone have the therion 75 non color thermal settings that they could share with me?
  6. This issue doesn't seem to make temp control screwy or anything so may just be cosmetic but I notice every time I put in a new battery the room temp reads extremely high. Normally after a battery change it will show a room temp around 94f and a board temp around 90f. After an hour or so the room temp reading will show the correct 72f but even if I don't take a single vape from it while it is reading 72f and swap batteries the reading will go back to the mid 90's. If I don't swap batteries and charge through usb the temp stays correct or at least close enough to be within a degree or two of the actual temp. I am using an hcigar vt75c which didn't have the case analyzer run or mod resistance put in. I did run all that stuff and get the "correct" values in. My numbers can't be far off since temp control seems to be closer for me then what it is for some others. After putting in those numbers 420f is given me a slightly better experience then 420f did on the older 75. Hopefully it has an easy fix and thankfully it seems to have no impact at all on the vape. I'm curious if this is a common issue. I tried a couple different themes but none of them seemed to have an impact on those readings.
  7. Hello everyone! I have a Therion 166. I'm using UD 24AWG 316L SS wire from Fasttech. 2.5mm diameter single coil, 5-6 wraps coming out to be around 0.25ohm. The numbers add up on Steam Engine. I tried using stock 316 material, and the 316L Elite profile from Steam Engine. Firing at 20 watts with no preheat, temp limit at 420F. On both profiles the temp limit hits after a second or so I get very little vapor. After the second or third puff in a succession the temp limit hits almost instantly and I get no vapor. It wasn't as bad when the coil was freshly made last night, it keeps getting worse. This is my second time making a similar coil with the same wire, and same results. SS430 works beautifully, and I experience none of these issues under similar settings. Using Escribe 1.2 SP5.2 Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can I provide any additional information to help you understand it better?
