  1. Is anyone having problems with getting “temp protect” when in Watts mode and randomly changing ohms? I have 3 mods that are doing this. It has happened with different attys and at different times. I can’t find any ryme or reason?
  2. Hi As we all know, when you start vaping on a coil, the ohms will normally drop after using it for a while (for example, new coil installed reading at 0.2, could drop to 0.15-0.18 over time). Is it advisable to go into the atomizer selection on the mod and measure the coil again occasionally as the coil is used so the mod is reading accurately or just to leave it at what it read originally? Thank You!
  3. I've been searching for days, trying to figure this out on my own but I can't seem to do it. I've been trying to get SS 316L to work in temp control and it seems to be very difficult. For instance, I will build coils (or use pre-made, I've tried both), and I aim to be somewhere around 0.4-0.5ohms. I lightly dry burn SS 316L at 10watts in a dark room and get all of the hot spots out. I then wick the coil and measure the cold resistance in Escribe. My most recent coil comes in at 0.4 @ 72° room temp, but when I vape the coil, the resistance also rises (I know SS 316L does this), but it will raise or lower from 0.39-0.45 and my mod can't seem to account for this variation correctly. Vapor production quickly declines and flavor mutes. I've tried countless different .csv's but none of them seem to fix the issue. In my most recent build, I will attempt to fire 0.4ohms at 40watts 475° but my mod will usually ask me if I connected a new atomizer at 0.43ohms. If I choose 'no, use old settings' then my vapor is basically non-existant. If I change the resistance to 0.43 then the temp control is all over the place and I will get dry hits. Any advice? Are my builds just crappy/inconsistent? Should I try a material that isn't SS 316L? I've tried spaced coils and they seem to work a bit better, but not by much. Do I need a different .csv? My atomizers are Gas Mods GR1 and B2K. Tha. nks! Edit: I've made sure that my lead connections are extra secure, that's not the problem.
  4. I have Replay working in power mode now with SS430 coils. I am a TC vaper and normally don't use power mode. In TC, I never lock resistance, just allow the chip to refine it as I go. Do I need to lock resistance in power mode using Replay?

Hi guys, first post here and newbie with the dna chip but is it normal when running in replay that anytime I leave it down for longer than 10mins (approx) it keeps asking me did I connect a new atty when I try to fire again, I press use old settings and it works again, just wondering is there a way to stop this asking everytime? TIA
  6. Is it normal that my ohms are changing when I use it in power ctrl watts mode set my temp to off. Sometimes it reads 0.14 when I use it it changes to .013 or 0.15 or 0.16 is this normal for a dna250 paranormal 166? Please explain. Thanks
  7. Hi All, Kinda new here. I've lurked around and searched for answers but I am at a loss. I am having a very hard time getting the Lavabox m (DNA 75) to vape properly at any temperature below 520 Fahrenheit. I have tried several batteries, atomizers, coils, and wicks, including factory made coils. I have also tried several different juices (though mostly 70/30). I can usually get a great vape for about 45 minutes with a brand new build placed on the device at room temperature. Once the device is left alone for 45 minutes or so the same temperature becomes completely anemic. For instance a temperature of 385 produces no vapor on a soaking wet coil. This is not an exaggeration (picture the steam from you breath on a slightly cold day). If I crank it to 545 F it vapes perfectly. I am experiencing this on 5 different atomizers, and 4 different materials (niFe48, 430, 316 and ni200 -- all single wire spaced coils). Incidentally, I tried the stock materials and also downloaded TFR Curves from Steam Engine. This is my first DNA device so I have nothing to compare it to but I have noticed some things which I think would have an impact on performance but I'm not sure how to address them. 1. The cold ohm reading on the device and in atomizer analyzer is always .02 - .07 ohms lower than my coilmaster ohm reader. This is never not true. 2. After refinement takes place the ohms go down even lower. Usually around .02 lower but sometimes on prolonged periods of not being used as low as .04. 3. I don't know what a "good" Atomizer Analyzer reading looks like but when I screw in an atty and watch I can effect the reading by as much as .15 ohms from initial reading till screwed all the way down. The lowest reading is when it is screwed all the way down. From there I can't reall effect it. It just slightly fluctuates from .001 - .005 which I think is a side effect of the measurement itself. 4. The room temperature is 7 or 8 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the actual temperature. However there are sometimes that it is correct if I check it again later but this is rarely the case. Some things of note: - I did not run Case Analyzer. Instead I uploaded the stock lavabox m settings file found in the downloads section of this site. - Atomizers tried were the Uwell Crown 3, Serpent SMM, Serpent Mini (2 different ones), Kanger Top Tank, an Aspire tank that I can't remember the name of and a Vandy Vape Icon RDA. - To not complicate matters I do not use a preheat and I do not adjust material curves or TCR values. - Of course I could be wrong about all of this and the answer may be that temperature control vaping is only possible with temperatures over 520 Fahrenheit. That was long. Sorry.
