THX.. I looked for a picture or video of a VS dna 200 disassembled and didn't run across any. VS must move a ton of the DNA200's to get a special board.

edit....there is no daughter board in the VS DNA 200.
No daughter board? I'm curious how do they light the fire button and show charging lights at the button?

My point was that there can be many causes... that's all...Vapor Shark should know what common issues they have with their device. A good place to start I think... and no I did not read your post before I posted as I was typing as you posted. You are right in asking for more details. I'm sure that Dilligaf will get it sorted...
-
Each of us could "guess" what your issue is. We can't evaluate your device however, so the cause is a mystery to all of us. It is like me calling my Honda dealer and saying my car quit running and you must tell me over the phone what the problem is. I'm not Evolv but many things can be the cause. See what Vapor Shark says and does as they are pretty good at standing behind their stuff I'm told. The Evolv board has a warranty if that is determined to be the issue.
Not knowing anything about your device I will offer a few guesses:
Bad Battery
Poor connections
Bad daughter board
Device dropped and internals were damaged
Bad fire button
Display broken thus won't light up
Poorly connected display ribbon
Bad usb cable thus not recognized by EScribe
ETC

Did anyone catch the POH show Monday? They had the DNA 75 in-hand... Looked very similar to the 200 Reference Mod.

Really? I am into RC and my lipos are horrible for battery sag. Same ones that the DNA200 often uses. And the electric car manufacturers have lots of smart scientists, researchers, and engineers. And oddly enough they are using 18650s for their battery packs. So you better call them and set them straight.
They also use Li-Po's for their battery packs... just one example... http://www.ronlund.com/rcheli-prod/ELEC_BATL6/CS5200-6S-50C.html

Thank you Mike.....well placed and timely comments which I agree with 100% and yes "safety matters".... I'm not Evolv either nor one of the 1% that " wants more and more watts".
-
Still in warranty... send back to where you bought it.. opening it up will probably void the warranty from VS.
-
Go back to the previous firmware and see if the spitting goes away...if not look for something else, maybe rda related...

Ditto Mike... PIF or trash....

If you think it is the 2016-02-29 firmware you can install a previous firmware versiuon and see if that fixes itjurdanas said:
Hello.
And it's my problem.
Fire button work good. "Fire button" is "Fire button", but the automatic locking when pressed - the program "2016-02-29 EScribe 1.0.42" is working wrong. We are using a "trial" version.
I think the "program" is working bad. (I have 2S mode 18650)
Sorry.
Thanks. -

When I change it from do not show to show temp it flashes the coil temp when it goes over temperature.
Here is a pic. It normally shows watts but when I go over temperature it flashes the temp. Also where the temp use to be it changes to watts.
Language and local settings on both my PC and VirtualBox are both set to English United States and United Stats. I never changed any of those settings. unless a program I installed changed it, it should be default.
THANKS.... I was expecting a flashing message when the fire button is released too... the "Show Temperature" changes the wattage displayed to Temperature and goes away when the fire button is released,,... thanks again.... -

It is doing what it's meant to constantly the temp on screen, of course if you are vaping at the temp limit there is not much to see.
So there is no shown "message" for that setting?
There are three choices for that theme. Don't Show, Show Temperature, and Show Message. When Show message is selected it flashes Temperature Protected when Temp is reached, when Don't Show is selected it doesn't flash a message even tho temp is reached. When selecting Show Temperature it flashes no message either even tho temp is reached. So what is the purpose and function of the Show Temperature setting? I'm just trying to figure out if some message is supposed to flash and show something. If not then that setting does the same thing as the Don't Show setting. If it is supposed to flash a message I don't see one thus it may need to be identified as a bug than can easily be fixed. -
OK, I was just fiddling around with themes and ran across this. Go to Themes.
Go to theme, Custom Screens, Temperature Protected
Set it to âShow Temperatureâ
Upload it and when temp is reached while firing it doesnât show any message forâ temperatureâ as it does when setting it to âShow Messageâ it shows âTemperature Protectionâ message.
What step am I missing here. Tried on several DNA200's.

How about just contacting Evolv using the "contact" Submit a Ticket and let them guide you?
Here is the link.... http://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add -
Only a thought..... were you using the same atty on each device when they failed? I have one atty that worked fine on many mods but not on one particular mod.
-
Two guesses.... maybe e-liquid on the boards or maybe intermittent contact in the fire buttons. And you might check for a loose ground.
-
So, Escribe won't open??? Try the restore function in Windows to restore the computer back to a date when it worked without issue. That restore point may help.
-
How about going to device manufacturers web site and installing their latest firmware... http://www.wismec.com/product/reuleaux-dna200/
-
Try removing the Nickel200 wire from the device (click on red X below the Material on Device Box). Then add the Nickel200 wire to the device again.
-
Works just great with Win-10 here...no lost data.... maybe you are missing something during the update process...when the test update was just out I installed/uninstalled/installed EScribe and the firmware update three separate times on two separate DNA200's without a hitch.
-
Have you ran Case Analyzer? My two DNA200's are not doing what yours are doing either. Refinement works just as it always has... no problems here...

Try adding Kanthal here and then check the grayed out Coil Material box again...
