That if you put custom screens on your DNA you instantly void your warranty?
Iv heard today that if you do, you lose warranty with Evolve if its custom made, or lose warranty with manufacture if its a bought device.
Where did you hear that? You can design custom screen and install in EScribe.... -

I actually noticed this on the first one we made as soon as I hooked it up and vaped it for initial testing.
I investigated this with James a bit, and the reason isn't because it isn't working, it is because it is actually working so well now that it doesn't hit the threshold required to trigger the message in many cases.
This was a very satisfying revelation on our end for what we originally thought could have been a bug. We hope you guys are as satisfied as we are with the results of our work on this.
That's exactly what I noticed with the latest update "Early Release" firmware for the DNA200 with SS316. Smooth temp graph and Temp message sometimes displays but Device Monitor shows almost straight line temp variance at temp... Heck, I can't see my display while vaping anyway. Very satisfied that the 75 and 200 both work great with SS316...

Seems James is working on it some more. I work all day and don't have the ability to test. I'm sure he will get it right with the help of the others. Wish I was RETIRED! Got a few years left.
LOL.... with retirement comes old age and aches, pains, grandkids, and a fixed income, etc, etc... but I love it..... you will get there... -

KTMRider.... I tried to install service pack on my non-VS device using 1.2 and got same error message.... noticed while extracting the Zip file it didn't give the normal Evolv logo icon on the desktop file...

@mactavish.... James just up a possible resolution of your issue... Could you test it as yours is still not charging right? THX

Yep...." Early" releases can have glitches that weren't caught already I guess and the Early release is not stated as "Recommended " versions. Most folks know that as this has been the process for a while now. My thoughts are that those with VS200's may or may not have an issue, may or may not decide to load the early version, and if there is an issue they can revert back as some have already done. As far as I know only some VS200 are showing this. Granted a quick resolution would be good.

Saw where you already posted this 2 days ago and Evolv is working on it... doesn't effect ALL VS200's as I understand...
Here is your previous post:

My VS200 is going back tomorrow so I'll let y'all know what they find as well. This has been going on 3 weeks waiting on a VS evolv firmware update but it seems as if evolv truly only found out a few days ago. Haha figures. I'll report back!
I think your issue is different than the one being discussed now... yours is that your VS arrived DOA... -

The FDA is making everything a tobacco product, that's how you create a TOTAL BAN! I'm sure the black market will be celebrating 8-8-16, as well as BIG TOBACCO. CIGALIKES and cigarettes of course will still be for sale on every street corner. Remember, we must protect the "kids"........
Amen.... as I said earlier....FDA...yuck....
But my main reason for this post is I saw this post on ECf and felt it needed to at least be seen here:

Retird,
Are you telling me that Firmware is now considered a Tobacco product. :-)
Seems like a "Bridge too far" to me.

I'm sure they will. But I'm not assuming. I've done the tests. Have you? Is the SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE, and I'll put money on it!
I understand that a couple of VS's Evolv has do not display this bug and they found another VS that did display the issue. It may very well be firmware or it could be something else also I think. No I've not tested a VS nor have I looked at the code of the firmware and compared it to the older firmware. I'm also not sure if any hardware changes of the board have been made over the life of the VS200.
One thing for certain is that whatever it is it needs attention... -

I agree, if I owned a VS I wouldn't be too quick to jump on this update.
As for my DNA-200(s) and DNA-75 everything seem ok.
I do appreciate James posting 'Early" updates and he does always post 'Recommended' and 'Early' for the daring at heart.
Yep..... and August 8, 2016 is Monday (FDA Regs....yuck) -

I know, I'm one of the first to report this BUG. Since the VaporShark has not changed, I think we can assume it's the new SOFTWARE.
Assuming is kinda like guessing..... James and crew will find what it is.... -
Fill out a "Contact" form for Evolv.... explain your issue.... let them respond back to you:

Cell soft cutoff for the 75 is set to 2.75 volts. You can check the settings in EScribe....

Is your charging mode set to maximum puffs or maximum recharges? Set my DNA200 reference mod to max puffs to fully charge battery...

Didn't intend to post this.... edited out....

There is a small screen option for the DNA60...
-
hum.... are you guys saying you are going to retrofit a DNA200 enclosure with a DNA60? The DNA60, as I understand retro-fits into an enclosure of DNA40's. Boards are tiny compared to a DNA200. Unless I am missing something...

Vapor Shark has traditionally been pretty good honoring their warranty I think. Your VS is/was DOA so why would they not replace it under warranty? And, it may not be a firmware issue but something else causing the DOA.... They won't know for sure until they look at yours....
Is it True...

Why would EScribe allow this if it would void the warranty and even allow you to share your custom themes?
