This is what I mean... Today I was in a Local Vape shop, Told them going to make my own screens today... they then warned me if i do, thats it.. all warranty instantly gone as its the main cause of problems.

Why would EScribe allow this if it would void the warranty and even allow you to share your custom themes?  o.O

That if you put custom screens on your DNA you instantly void your warranty?

Iv heard today that if you do, you lose warranty with Evolve if its custom made, or lose warranty with manufacture if its a bought device.

Where did you hear that? You can design custom screen and install in EScribe....

I actually noticed this on the first one we made as soon as I hooked it up and vaped it for initial testing.

I investigated this with James a bit, and the reason isn't because it isn't working, it is because it is actually working so well now that it doesn't hit the threshold required to trigger the message in many cases.

This was a very satisfying revelation on our end for what we originally thought could have been a bug. We hope you guys are as satisfied as we are with the results of our work on this.

That's exactly what I noticed with the latest update "Early Release" firmware for the DNA200 with SS316.  Smooth temp graph and Temp message sometimes displays but Device Monitor shows almost straight line temp variance at temp...  Heck, I can't see my display while vaping anyway. Very satisfied that the 75 and 200 both work great with SS316...  :thumb:

Seems James is working on it some more. I work all day and don't have the ability to test. I'm sure he will get it right with the help of the others. Wish I was RETIRED! Got a few years left.

LOL.... with retirement comes old age and aches, pains, grandkids, and a fixed income, etc, etc... but I love it..... you will get there... :)
  5. Yep...." Early" releases can have glitches that weren't caught already I guess and the Early release is not stated as "Recommended " versions. Most folks know that as this has been the process for a while now.  My thoughts are that those with VS200's may or may not have an issue, may or may not decide to load the early version, and if there is an issue they can revert back as some have already done.  As far as I know only some VS200 are showing this. Granted a quick resolution would be good.

The FDA is making everything a tobacco product, that's how you create a TOTAL BAN! I'm sure the black market will be celebrating 8-8-16, as well as BIG TOBACCO. CIGALIKES and cigarettes of course will still be for sale on every street corner. Remember, we must protect the "kids"........

    Amen.... as I said earlier....FDA...yuck....

But my main reason for this post is I saw this post on ECf and felt it needed to at least be seen here:

Funny thing is I was able to roll back to 2016.2.23 firmware and the 2 amp charging came back.

    1. I rolled back with escribe version 1.2 (I wanted to keep this version because I have other DNA devices)
    2. After I rolled back, my VS was dead with "upload settings" on the screen (I think there was an incompatibility problem with the Watts mode as one of my materials on the device)
    3. Next I Restored Defaults from the general tab
    4. Reloaded my saved .ecig file and took the watts mode off of my device, then uploaded to my VS

I'm sure they will. But I'm not assuming. I've done the tests. Have you? Is the SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE, and I'll put money on it!

I understand that a couple of VS's Evolv has do not display this bug and they found another VS that did display the issue.  It may very well be firmware or it could be something else also I think.  No I've not tested a VS nor have I looked at the code of the firmware and compared it to the older firmware. I'm also not sure if any hardware changes of the board have been made over the life of the VS200.

One thing for certain is that whatever it is it needs attention...
  8. hum.... are you guys saying you are going to retrofit a DNA200 enclosure with a DNA60?  The DNA60, as I understand retro-fits into an enclosure of DNA40's. Boards are tiny compared to a DNA200. Unless I am missing something...
